Anyone ever tried spraying perfume on their hair??

Man don't think I'm weird or anything, but everyday I spray Calgon's body splash on my hair because my hair (like all curly hair) absorbs EVERYTHING. There are a whole bunch of smokers outside my campus and when I walk past them to get inside the college of Education, my hair reeks of cigarette smoke. Then I have to run to the nearest restroom and spray body splash on my hair. I mean, it works. Everyone always compliments me. And it hasn't ruined my hair or anything. I dunno, anyone else here do this?

I never seriously tried it but wondered about it too. I work in a nursing home and some of the residents that I take care of put perfume or cologne in their hair.

I haven't, and I'm not sure I would. I think there are some drying alcohols in body splashes. Not sure though.

I know that there are hair fresheners sold at most drugstores to mask odors. I would use those before using a body splash on my hair. But, if you aren't noticing any dryness, then I guess it's okay.

Different strokes for different folks.

Have you thought of maybe creating your own splash using hair friendly essential oils, such as rosemary and lavender, in distilled water? You should be able to find recipes for natural hair splashes here in the recipe section.
A wonderful mix of coils, curls, corkscrews, and kinks.

I spray Burberry Brit in my hair when I'm going out. What I do is spray the air with it, and then stick my wet hair in the mist.
