Default I feel the need of using poo again...

Ahh,
I can't believe this. I'm on CG since June last year, but my hair became soo soo...greasy and fatty.I'm really down in a hole.
Well, I used a lemon to get all the stuff out ,and my hair was so bone dry ,after a CO wash it was ok.
But my curls feel soo heavy from the conditioners (or maybe I'm just thinking to much about it)
I just feel unhappy at the moment. I want to use poo, Nivea maybe or smth like that. I couldn'T use Low Poo or sth because I live in Germany and we don'T have it and I don't want to make a big order...
Warning "Ewwww"-Factor ahead:

And the grease on my scalp seems to never go away properly. WTF???

Guys ,feel with me *wail*

Default awww

i have 3 suggestions:
-apple cider vineger rinse
-baking soda clarifying treatment
-no poo w a clarifying conditioner

*push comes to shove, wash w a sulfate free shampoo, like jason.

ETA: are you using heavy conditioners to no poo? cheapies like suave naturals, V05, willow lake...are cone free and leave no heavy feeling.

What are some clarifying conditioners? I would like to try that, too.

V05 kiwi lime clarifying conditioner (pic in album)
suave daily clarifying conditioner

*ive used both and they give excellent results. i prefer V05 b/c it smells better/light clarifying... the suave is more powerful so if you use product, i suggest this one.
i no poo w the clarifying cond. once a week. make sure to just wash w it...dont leave it on for more than a min, then follow w a moisturizing conditioner. treat it like poo.

LSN....if its not working, it's fine. Dont worry about quiting it. It's not for everyone. Dont feel pressured to stay on the CG if its not best for your hair and it's health and beauty.

I agree, too. If it's not working, it's okay. Certain hair routines aren't "one size fits all". You have to find a routine that fits for you. If that means shampooing, then so be it.

But if you want to try to make the routine work, you can try modifying it first by using a gentler shampoo(w/maybe coco betaine as the main detergent) once a week or when needed, and maybe do CO rinses every other day(or as needed). Tweak it until you find what works for you.

Hello ,

Thanks for encouraging me. This really makes me feel better.
well ,yes I felt kinda pressured. Not a nice feeling.
I shampooed yesterday with the biological Lavera shampoo and I felt like I'm doing something forbidden. Crazy!
Anyway, my scalp feels better now.

@shyygirl: Yes, I will modify my routine. I don't want to start pooing again like I did before CG.
yep, I'll buy a mild poo (if there's anything better than Lavera) and then poo everytime my scalp or hair is greasy or strandy.

@jazzijenni:
I have VO5 conditioners and all that stuff, and I am happy with it, but I still think that my scalp sometimes needs a good cleanser to get off all the dirt. Conditioner may do this for some people ,but not for me

Thanks guys for your posts
Take care

That Suave is powerful, and has the nerve to lather some! I have some of the VO5, but I'm going to get another bottle of the suave b/c I'm thinking of going no poo for a while.

I like shampooing with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose. Very gentle on hair and smells nice, but not too strong.
