I use Smooth N SHine's curl activator gel in addition to the SMooth N Shine Extra Body Extra Hold Mousse. It works great, but I want more shine/sheen. I saw in someone's fotki that they mixed this gel with coconut oil. I don't remember whose fotki it was, I use carrot oil with my conditioner so I'd be willing to try it with this gel. I just don't knowhow I should mix it (In the jar as a whole with all the gel/In droplets/IN my hands?)
Any suggestions?

I sometimes add a few drops of honey to gels or conditioners. Sometimes glycerin. I just put the gel or conditioner in my hand, drop a few drops of whatever on top and mix in my hands before adding to my hair. I imagine this would work for your oil.

Maybe someone that's actually mixed those exact things will chime in...

Could you just try it in your hands for one application to see if it works? That's how I test mixtures out.

Just put the amount of gel you are going to use in a small bowl and then add your oils. Then you don´t bother adding oils or other things into a whole jar of gel.
