Are you saying that your hair is undefined frizz? Does it feel dry? How often do you CO? Everyday? Every other day?
It sounds like your hair could be overconditioned, or if your conditioner has proteins, maybe your hair could be protein sensitive(or you're experiencing protein overload).
Maybe someone could give you more rec's if they know what your routine is.

No. Maybe I wasn't too clear. I had gym the first half of the school year, so I had to wear my hear in a bun every day. Now, I don't, but my hair doesn't wave in the front anymore. It's just really frizzy. My hair was overconditioned before, so I know that's not the problem. Problem: THE TOP HAS GONE STRAIGHT FROM ME WEARING IT BACK ALL THE TIME (that's what i think happened). What should I do to make the curl pattern come back?

I gotcha now.
Hmmm.....Have you done any deep treatments? I'm not sure what else to recommend. I've never heard of hair going(and staying) straight from wearing it in a bun. I know that when I wear my hair in a high pony-tail, the front tends to look alittle straighter than the rest of my hair, but as soon as water hits it, it goes back to normal. Maybe the stress from having it pulled back all the time contributed to losing abit of your waves? I'm really at a loss.
I hope someone will be able to offer some help.

Re: HELP! FUZZY HAIR
My hair has been poffy as well. Instead of s-curls my hair is now tighter and corkscrewy--it is just the curl shape, my texture feels almost the same. At one point, I deep conditioned twice a week. My hair changed textures after a GPB protein treatment a couple months ago. At first I thought it was the cold weather, but I don't know. Am I over conditioning as well? My roots are straigther too.
Does anyone know how I could get my old curls back?

MOISTURE CHALLENGE
Sugarhoneyicedtea, I think we should start a Definition Challenge. I think it would involve 1) a lot of moisturizing products vs. a reasonable amount of protein, 2) changing up hair styles often.
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST MOISTURIZING PRODUCTS?
Shampoo
Conditioner
Deep Treatment (moisturizing & protein)
Medium Hold Gel
Oil
Also, does anyone have special techniques to share? TIA[/img]

Re: MOISTURE CHALLENGE
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST MOISTURIZING PRODUCTS?
Shampoo- CON shampoo, AO Island Naturals shampoo
Conditioner- AO Honeysuckle Rose, Elucence, Suave M & H and Suave Humecants, Nature Gate Rainwater conditioner
Deep Treatment (moisturizing & protein) Olive oil & Honey, Mayonasse, AO GPB conditioner, AO Blue-green algae hair conditioner
Medium Hold Gel- Fantasia IC w/ Sparklelites & HE Humidity Defiying gel
Oil- Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba oil, and Avocado oil
I just did a henna treament today and it has helped alot, but my hair still isn't clumping chunky curls like before. I'm changing up my hairstyles too. What about you, Babyphat?
Does anyone have any suggestions on more moisturizing products? I really need help on finding a moisturizing styler, because leave-ins don't seem to be enough. I have major shrinkage and dry ends.

babyphat - Have you tried doing some deep conditioning treatments with heat? That might help.

Babyphat21,
My hair does the exact same thing! I wear it pulled back often and the front of my hair is almost bone straight sometimes.
The only thing I have found to bring my curl back to normal is wearing my hair down. I just use my normal routine and treat the front of my hair the same as the rest of it and eventually (couple of days to a week), it returns back to normal.
At first the curls will be really loose, but the more I leave it down they become tighter like the rest of my hair.
HTH

Ditto.
I used to wear my hair back a lot and I would do the same thing GabbyC does. It just takes time for it to snap back into it's original shape.

Hmmm with heat? I can't do that, I don't have a heat cap. Do you think natural products help with definition/moisture?
Fantasia Sparklites (blue one) is very moisturizing. I comb it through and my hair is shiny and soft... not like a gel at all. (well it holds like a gel)

Re: MOISTURE CHALLENGE
I plan to wear my hair out to fix this problem... maybe try some natural products. It seems like people who use at least a few natural products have more curl definition. Maybe it's just me...

I just put a shower cap on and a towel over that and your body heat will heat up your hair. I like to clean or something to build up more body heat. HTH

Yes, thank you. I'm trying to use only natural products now. It is helping. I think another of my problems was protein overload and that I cut of about 2 inches of hair all around, and I wasn't prepared for the craziness of shrinkage.

Re: MOISTURE CHALLENGE
I have a lot of shrinkage too. Moisture wise, jojoba oil mixed with aloe vera gelly helps with the dryness.
Okay...according to my coworker, my hair feels very soft and springy. The only difference with my hair today is that I added the jojoba oil/aloe vera gelly mix. So, maybe this is my HG product for keeping moisture.
Hope that helps!

Re: MOISTURE CHALLENGE
Thanks! I'll try this out.
By the way, how long did it take you to grow your hair out to this length?
