Hask Henna and Placenta? Anybody try this?

Description

I just got one of the packs at Walgreens and was curious to know if anybody else has ever used it. It got great reviews on the Walgreens site. Here's what it says:

  • Nature's most complete conditioning treatment.
  • Strengthens and repairs dry, brittle, lifeless hair.
  • An extra rich formula combining two of natures most complete hair conditioners - neutral henna and natural placenta.
  • Together for the first time to quickly repair and strengthen dry, brittle, lifeless hair.
  • And will not change hair color.
  • The result is ravishingly beautiful hair with manageability you never before thought possible.
  • Placenta extract, derived from animal placenta (Environmentally responsible formula), is combined with amino proteins to revitalize and protect every hairtype.
  • Cruelty free.
  • No animal testing.

I have tried it and i think that it is okay but i personally think that it made my hair kinda hard. i have protein sensitive hair but after conditioning and trying to get my hair to normal it still felt kinda crispy. I think you shoud try it out a few times and see how you like it.

I thought plcenta was one of the hair chemcials that's thought to increase hormone levels and is also thought to be a carcinogen?

I used this product many, many years ago and it is worked okay, but I wouldn't let it anywhere near my head now. There other protein treatments that work better and don't involve slathering animal byproducts on my hair.
Maybe try this?

I used to frequent placenta and never really took the time to think about what it actually was. I always heard that it was the HG of hair products from my permie friends. I tried it and back when I would straighten it made my hair feel ok. I tried it out as a curly and it dried my hair out.

Interesting responses. But the only way I'm going to figure out if it works for me or not is to try it (just call me a hair dare devil) . . . I'll do so soon and post results . . .
I used this when I wore my hair relaxed for strength, but it can strip the heck out of your hair's moisture so please follow up with a good conditioner or leave-in.
