wow she is gorgeous.

i did not realize until i saw these
pictures she was a "mixed girl."
i looked it up and it said she was
hungarian and african american.

i always thought she was hispanic.

Lord knows my family is diverse as diverse families can be we are mixture of everything and we come from pale white to African dark. Well excuse me "stereotypical" African since there Arabic speaking Africans and Africans of Dutch ancestry also.

I mean arguing about race ancestry seems like such a waste of time especially in America because we are a large melting pot. No one is really pure blooded so it really shouldn't matter.

Holy Grail - KCCC of course

Really interested in more natural products but don't really like to mix them myself.

I think my hair LOVES oil but need to use them more.

Have done a Henna treatment once and am hoping to do another one soon.
WOW! I love her natural texture! It's a shame they made her straighten it so much now. I wouldn't have realized it was the same person

She is so pretty. I actually think she's the prettiest girl on the show (and it bugs me to no end when my roommate says she's the ugliest one).
It's a shame that she wasn't allowed/didn't keep her hair natural for the show (for whatever reason). I think it looks MUCH better that way.
Hello,
I love her hair.Which products does she use? My hair is like her hair.I want to straight it.But how can I do it? Her hair is so natural. How can I find that what she use for her hair? Please help me.

Yes, on the show Vanessa's character is Ukrainian; Dan often sites this on the show repeatedly. I know that Mexican is not a race; the majority of Mexicans are a mixture of Native American and European. My brother's wife is Mexican, etc. And why are you arguing with me over this? This is ridiculous.

Of course not all Mexicans look Native American, but the majority do. I do not see how that is "stereotypical" or wrong. Just like the majority of Jamaica's residents are African descent. Sure there are Chinese, Syrians, Indians, but the majority of them are Black. I am well familiar with Del Toro since he is one of my favorite directors. He is probably the exception compared to thousands of other people that are ethnic Mexicans. The Portuguese look different because of a mixture of Berbers and North Africans, the same goes for Italians and Spaniards. Olga looks Asian because the Mongolian empire included present day Ukraine and Russia, etc. and their reign lasted for over 200 years. There was a lot of mixing of Tatars and Mongols, so it shouldn't be surprising that a lot of Eastern Slavs have an olive complexion and slanted eyes. There are still Tatars in these areas but they are now an ethnic minority

Her character's last name was Abrams, which doesn't seem like a Ukrainian name. Also, I don't remember the show referencing her as "Ukrainian," and I've seen all the shows she was in.

Here are some pics of Gina Torres, in case you don't know who she is:

I agree. This is the first time I am seeing pics of her natural texture, but I always thought her hair looked fried, like it was straightened by someone who doesn't know how to straightened textured hair---I know because I have been a victim myself. She is doing herself a disservice with the straitening bc her hair looks much better curly. I also think both straight and curly hair can look great, but I think it looks so fake on her, at least the way she is doing it now.
