I have type 3 curls, but somewhere in between a & b.

My big issue, we moved to Florida and the humidity is killing me. I have tried so many products and some seem to work for a few days and then my hair is right back to where it started. I have very thick hair that expands and tends to look like a male lions mane by the end of the day.

I wash and condition my hair every other day and do a deep condition on the days I do not wash. I will add a leave in conditioner, use a curl enhancer and then a bit of gel. I only air dry because I do not have time to diffuse with 3 y/o twins running around.

The minute I walk outside my hair becomes huge with tons of frizz. I end up pulling it back in a pony tail for the remainder of the day. I just do not know what to do anymore or what products to use anymore.

what products are you currently using? some that i would recommend for you are:

CHS curl keeper - like a silicone-free frizz control serum. you use it on soaking wet hair then add other products over it for hold. a lot of people use this product under any other product they use, for frizz control.

ag re:coil - this is a cream curl enhancer, but has more hold and holds up in humidity better than any other cream i've tried. you'd probably have best luck using it under a gel.

biosilk rock hard gelee - very strong hold gel, works great in humidity for a lot of people

herbal essences humidity defying gel - i haven't tried it yet, but a lot of people LOVE this gel

if you don't mind my asking, where in Florida do you live? The whole state is humid, but some areas are actually a bit worse than others.

I live in West Ft. Lauderdale (read that as the outskirts of the Everglades - swampland ) so I totally relate to the humidity issue.
