NEW HG: CONDISH AS A LEAVE-IN!!!!

The other day, I needed some more condish and Suave wasn't quite working for me, so I picked up V05 Strawberries & Creme (the smell is quite strong out of the bottle, but once used, it's quite nice). It's very thick, unlike Suave which is very inconsistent - sometimes they will be thick, sometimes it'll be runny. finger combed with the V05 Strawberries & Creme and left it alone. It fluffed out perfectly with minimal frizz! I was so happy! :P So, today I tried it again, only a little differently. I washed with CON Regular, then added A LOT of V05 Strawberries & Creme... let it sit for a while. Then I paddle brushed, sat there for 5 mins. Got out and added more V05. My curls were clumpy, defined and soft! I touched it a little too much so i ended up adding a little Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk (another leave-in) and a little LaBella Gel to an unruly patch, but overall, I am loving condish for leave-in! Does anyone else use condish/leave-in without slapping on a bunch of gel?

Sure; do it all the time. I use Nexxus conditioner (Humectress I believe). I find that I don't need any gel or other product. I just shake (vigorously!) and go. My hair just clumps on its own after that.

This happened to me by "mistake" too! I ran out of my normal conditioner and picked up some V05 Strawberries & Cream. I left it in because I was out of my leave in too. I had great clumps, shine and moisture!

I still have some left. I'll be using it as my back up.
Yooooo! Coily and Springy 3c!

Someone on one of the boards posted this a little while ago, but I think she was advising not to make reg. condish an everyday leave-in because eventually your hair stops taking in the moisture from the condish. I don't remember whether it was this board or the 4a one (maybe 3b?). Maybe you can change up your routine so you only do it every other day or use a smaller amount to minimize any buildup? Keep us posted on how your Strawberries and Cream routine works out!

Yeah, I got this message too late! LOL I realize now I need to switch off between condish/leave-in as a styler and gel as a styler. The second and third day I used condish for a styler, my hair didn't look as good. The third day was pretty bad... lol, but strawberries and cream is beautiful! my new fave :P
