Default WHAT TO DO WITH HAIR AT NIGHT?

So what does everyone do with their hair while their sleeping? I have always just pulled it in a bun on top of my head, but I wish I could find a way to cover my whole head to protect my hair without binding it. I tried the satin cap thing, but I hated the way it looked. Any other ideas?

I usually pin my hair up with several duck clips and tie a satin scarf around my hair.

i flip my hair over my satin pillow so i'm not sleeping on it (does that even make sense?). in the morning only the curls underneath (near the nape of my neck) are a bit smooshed but no one sees them anyway.

My hair's not really long enough to flip over my pillow and I don't want to pin it up. Basically I'm looking for some type of satin hat to cover it up, but not the ones that look so ridiculous like what's sold in Sally's. Thanks for the suggestions though

how about wrapping a satin scarf around your hair instead of using a hat? i've heard some curlies use scarves instead. good luck.

Personally, I've never seen any kind of overnight head thing that looked good. Do you wanna look good at night or do you wanna look good in the morning?

I use a stretchy silky/satin like scarf to tie my hair down at night time (after rinsing-not rinsing product out-just enoush rinse to finger comb into a ponytail- then applying gel to the edges) while it's in a lower bun cause I like my curls to hang down in the morning w/o the excessive volume.

What about a satin bonnet? It looks like a shower cap except it's satin. I have one in black. I can't remember where I bought it - Sally's, I think.

LOL. AMEN! I wear a "sleeping cap" made by Goody that's not cute at all. DH teased me at first but I could care less ... it's the one thing that keeps my hair from being a snarled mess in the morning.

Thats that one I was talking about desertcurls, I just hate the way it looks. I wish i could find something with the same material that didn't look like a shower cap.

Spiderlashes

I want to look good at night as well as in the morning. Now you know.

I have an idea for you. Instead of just getting the boring old satin scarfs from Sally's, buy a nice scarf from a discount store like TJ Maxx. They have beautiful patterned scarfs in all colors. If you don't want to wrap it around your entire head, maybe try wearing it like a headband. It would pull all of your hair out of your face but would also be fashionable.

Or just buy a quarter yard of cheap satin fabric from the fabric store and make it whatever shape you like/style you like.
