Stylists in CO? HELP!

I have been looking for someone who knows how to cut and maintain 3C hair for a minute. The cut is always verging on pyramid status and I can't take it anymore. I'm going to a natural hair care stylist in about a week. I'm a little scared because what if she cuts my hair like a fro, or tells me she can only cut my hair straight! I am praying girls that one of you knows a stlyist in the Denver metro area that can help me just in case my appointment doesn't work out.
3b/3c type curls that are always dry! This altitude is kicking my butt man!
Products: Suave for curls (poo & condish), VO5 Hot Oil Treatment, & Pantene stuff (when I have the $)
I'm not in Colorado but this should help you: http://naturallycurly2.com/curlscene...state=Colorado

Good luck!

I live in Denver. Which salon are you going to??? I just got my hair done by a lady at Rumors. But she only gave me a small trim. The good thing is that she didn't cut off all my hair. LOL! But I didn't really ask her for a specific haircut because I didn't want to loose my length.

I'm acutally thinking of getting my haircut next time by a barber at Ramilles. They do some really good haircuts. And I used to intern there about 4yrs ago. I actually think from now on I'm going to go to a barber. Cuz I've notice that alot of cosmetologists have no idea what to do with our natural hair!!!
Righteousness isn't what you do it's a gift!

I'm still trying to find out what my hair type is!!

I'm like....yeah, this kind of hair can get that way. That's why I cant really take the salon referral site serious right now. Not one of those people say anything about having really tight curls or whatever.

And if you hear anything about a good stylist for our hair (who doesn't insist on pressing it b4 cutting it) please let me know. I am not going to quit until I find the perfect person for my hair. (Yes, I may be a little obsessed. LOL)

I understand what you mean. About the whole stylists just seeming like our hair is just such a mystery.

Let me know how your appointment goes. Because if they do a good job with your hair. I might just have to check it out myself.

And I'll let you know how my next cut goes. I probably am going to wait for a little while cuz I just got my hair cut.

Have you ever been to any naturallycurly or napptural get togethers here in Colorado? I think that would be really fun.

I haven't heard of anyone mention one in Colorado but I know that there is a board here where they have curly get togethers. And Nappturality has a board for get togethers too. Maybe you and I can try to have one for Colorado. Or at least find out if there are any here.

PM me and maybe we can see what's up.
