Your curls are so beautiful Aaaaand, we have the same hair properties (with the exception that my hair is being weighed down), so I'll have to try out some of the products in your sig :P

Thank you!! I wasnt sure if i should even post in this thread cuz my pattern can be so mixed but the type description property-wise is closest to mine.
My 2 biggest discoveries have been protein and mousse. I was terrified of protein at first but my hair drinks it up & I use it daily, havent yet met a protein my hair hates. And the concept of mousse was weird at first too but it doesnt weigh me down. Now im looking for a stronger hold mousse with more "substance" & some protein - joico joiwhip was reccomended recently since its free of drying alcohols.

Everyone has such pretty curls(:
Mine is in my Avie. I think it's 3a with some tighter 3b's that you can't see at the nape of the neck. Either way I'm learning to love it!

Oh my goodness! I'm having major hair envy right now! Your curls are gorgeous!!!!
I like the DevaCurl nopoo/lopoo and condish okay, but not the stylers. Way too much protein and glycerin for my hair - made it fuzzy, dry and crunchy (yuk). If you haven't already, you should check out the website for Live Curly Live Free to read about hair properties; once you figure that out, it helps with finding the right products. It's still a lot of trial and error though (I'm still searching!).

CO wash with V05 & Suave.
RO V05, Suave & L'Oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture (amodimethicone).
LI V05 mixed with drops of EVOO, 8 drops of baby oil smoothed through, coconut oil on ends. Also Mixed Silk conditioning leave in (amodimethicone).
Clarify with Giovanni 50:50 moisture/clarifying once a week.
Sleep in satin cap.
Supplements Country Life Maxi Hair, Fish Oil (omega 3 & 6), B12, Whey protein shakes.
No heat, no gel. Indifferent to protein but it fades color. You can see my progress in my Hair Journey album.

WOW..your hair is incredible! So, so pretty!! "Silky" is definitely something I would love to use for describing my hair--haven't found the secret to that yet.

Hello everyone! I'm new here and just starting to "make friends" with my naturally curly hair. I have worn my hair straight for almost all my life. After routinely straightening, I'm glad that I actually have some curl left! I'm hoping that after laying off the blow-outs and flat ironing that it will get curly. I'm so glad that I found this website, very informative! Anyway, I'm not really sure what hair type my hair is. What do you guys think?

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

Beautiful head of hair I'd say 2b/2c as far as actual pattern, maybe some 3a ends, which can also be a trait of 2c hair. Have you figured out your hair properties yet (texture, density, porosity)? Thats all thats really important when deciding what products to try. Figure those out & look for people with the same properties in their siggies & start with those products. Usually a good place to start!

I'm pretty pleased with how my curls have turned out today, definitely a good hair day (even if I do say so myself, lol! ) Didn't do anything different to my usual routine either (co-wash, rinse out, leave in, gel, part diffused, part air dry, SOTC.) Isn't it funny how you can do the same routine and end up with different results! Anyway, here's a pic :-
