I can't figure out how to get a url for an image upload, but here's my hair today:

I'm very intrigued by these new-to-me methods, and can't believe I've lived this long not knowing about sulfates and silicones being bad for my curls.
Beautiful curls!

Sent from my iPhone using CurlTalk
2c/3a, botticelli/wavy/'swavy (huh?)
fine, dense, normal porosity/elasticity, dry climate

My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!

Definitely beautiful hair I had the same thought when I found out about sulfates and silicones I was like "I've had curly hair since birth and nobody told me this???"

Here's some pictures from today. I tried the Icequeen method again after having horrendous results in the past. I was definitely impressed this time though! You can't really tell, but throughout my hair there's a ton of kinky, 3c-ish patches. For some reason this method made them come out much more than normal....

Hey thanks . I love your curls in your avatar, they remind me of a friend of mine's wavy curls that I loooooove.

Sometimes people play with my hair. I don't mind as long as they don't RAKE. One of my instructors is always after my hair, since hers is pin, pin straight (I've known all of my instructors for years even before I started college so it's not weird....)

Oh the clumps! The Icequeen Method

Basically you rinse upside down and style it upside down as well. I discovered the trick for me is to scrunch and squish my hair around while I'm rinsing. Otherwise it's a mess afterwards.

So after doing the squishing and scruching while rinse, did you apply a leave-in?Gel? if so did you apply that upside down hair? What kind of application did you do-scrunch again?

Yeah, I scrunch in some leave in, a gel, then a mousse to make sure I've covered everything, all upside down, then I plop for about 15 minutes. I'd say I left my hair pretty wet. Usually I would get out enough water so it's not dripping everywhere but I think with the Icequeen method your hair needs to be pretty wet or else the clumps break up.

My hair is mostly 3a, so I'll post this here.

Aiming for twice as long at least. I've been growing it out for about two years now, from a #2 or #3 hair guard, 5hit takes awhile. And never let someone come close to you with thinning shears, ever.

You're hair actually looks more 3b to me; and I am severely jealous!
