I seriously envy everyone's beautiful curls. I can only hope mine look like that soon. I am just restarting CG. I tried it a couple of years ago and just didn't keep with it and then went through a straightening phase. I washed my hair last night for the last time and have four things from the deva line on their way to me. Hopefully I can stick with it this time. Anyway I think I am a 3a but i'm not completely sure. My hair is super thick and course, right now it is short and the stylist thinned a ton of it out so i have these little shorts pieces sticking up all over the place. I have added a couple of pics. My hair is still wet but i am sure by the end of the day i will be a big fuz ball. Does it look like I am a 3a?

With some curlies their hair gets curlier as it gets longer because there is more length to twist and coil and turn into ringlets. Give it a few inches. I think by the time it reaches your neck it might be a solid 2C if not a 3A.

P.S. Don't EVER let a stylist thin your beautiful hair out again. Not that it looks bad, it looks very stylish this way, but for most people thinning wrecks their definition. Let us know how it grows out.

Looking at all these pictures I think my hair is definitely 3A. I was thrown off by the description, because the description for 3A does not match my hair texture at all. So I was thinking somewhere between 2C and 3B, lol. Some of the hair is still damaged from old Brazilian keratin and flar ironing a lot. So the hair at the top looks more 2C. Those curls have always been looser for me though. And my hair has NEVER curled uniformly. Different pieces do whatever they want But I just got a bunch of the damage cut off today. Here is a pic of before the cut. Its wet right now from a deep condition but next time I style it I will put a pic of after the cut. I'm starting a grow out process.

Ok so here it is with the new cut, deep conditioned, lots if product and air dried. Ready to start my grow out process, no more straightening I swear! I am going to baby it.
(Please disregard my face with no makeup, I tried to keep it out of the pic as much as possible)

I'm pretty new here, and trying to figure out my hair type. On a good day I look like 3a, but here recently I look more like 2b/2c due to bs/acv damage. Tell me I can get back to this!

The first two are from 2009, the last one is from 2012. I've been too ashamed of my hair to take any more recent pics of it
