Good cones and bad cones?

I think I read here somewhere that there are actually cones that aren't bad for the hair.
Does anyone have any info?
I accidently bought a Dove Leave-In spray that has some cones...

Some cones are water soluable and can be rinsed from the hair while others need to be removed with a surfactant. This thread should break it down for you.

Cones are not bad for your hair. They just require shampoo to remove...some require sulfate shampoo to remove. And sulfate shampoos can be very harsh.

Thanks for your help.
I've read that cones can be drying (eventually). I've noticed that since I've been off of them, my hair does feel a lot more moisturized than before.
