Default None of your fizzness?

I was wondering if anyone has tried Herbal Essence "None of your frizzness" line of products? I bought the conditioner and the smoothing leave-in cream and i love it!! I am new to the whole CG thing and i am trying my best to get things that are good for my hair but right now i can't afford some of the products that i would like, like the Devacurl line!

I think both of those have silicones in them, which will build up on your hair without the shampoo.

There are lots of cheap, CG products out there. Like, the Loreal Vive Nutrigloss, Suave Naturals, VO5, LA Looks Gel, the Herbal Essences Gel. A lot of people sometimes find their "holy grail" pruduct at drugstores, and they think it works better than salon brands.

Welcome to the boards, by the way.

Hi, welcome to cg, lol. I found it so hard to find a cg friendly product out there. I think I've found my match but it has a couple cones here and there so I usually do a clarify every two weeks with a shampoo with coco betaine. I find it works really well and I'm getting a good amount of good hair days! Just use what works for you and if you need to be a modified CG then so be it. Just remember if you have products with cones or xanes, use a good clarifying shampoo to clean away the build up or your hair might get gunky.
Your hair is nice btw =]

I want to use john frieda conditioner which has cones so I thought I had to shampoo every week.I'm glad to know that I can do it every 2 weeks. Is it possible that I can clarify every month?. I want to be a modified CG for now because good products are expensive. If I do find garnier fructis body boost conditioner in Canada that has no cones in it then I'll be CG again .

As long as you feel that there isn't that much build-up then sure you can clarify every month. It's funny to say but just after commenting on this thread last time I changed my routine (sorry!). I did some research and I found out that Cetyl Alcohol is used in both Pears Conditioner (in AUS) and Suave Naturals conditioner in coconut (in US). It makes the conditioner more creamier and rich, but is oil soluble which means that it can remove excess oil and build-up off you scalp. Perfect for co-washing. Also, Cetrimonium Chloride is used too and that nourishes and cleanses your hair in the same product. Both Pears and Suave Naturals in coconut don't have cones so they are good for co-washing and/or conditioning.

I'm trying Pears condish for a while as both a co-wash and conditioner. If you want the John Frieda cond. just make sure that you clarify at least once a month so you don't get much build-up.

Personally I havent found it that hard to go CG. I use Suave naturals which has no silicones and the family size at my walmart is 1.68, I use it as my co-wash and leave in. For conditioner I use Giovanni 50:50 which I found at my local kroger, but can be found at target, but I have quite a bit of hair and am looking to get GVP Conditioner Balm from my local Sally's which is silicone free and CG and some of the girls around here love it, and its about 5 dollars for a bottle. After my leave in I put Lily of the desert aloe vera gelly, which I found for 2.69 at my local Kroger, and then I bought KCCC which is my Holy Grail. I've only been CG for two weeks but I cut out silicones and sulphates completely and my hair loves it.

Thanks for the help.I also change my mind about being a modified CG lol because my sister found the new garnier fructis body boost conditioner with no cones. Now I don't have to use john frieda cond .I really need to clarify though because my hair still feels dirty after co-washing.

Yes! I have tried that conditioner! I really love that one, and there was almost NO frizz at all!

Do what works for you and if your hair feels dirty, clarify and see what routine works for you.
