Germany Curly

Last Relaxer(Texturizer): Aug. 2005

I'm from Chicago, (boo hoo wind!!) but if you mean heritage wise I'm 1/2 Italian, 1/2 German (tiniest bit of Irish in there, but 50/50 is easier to tell people.) My dad is like type 2c, my mom had 3a when she was younger, so how in the heck did I get type 3c??!!

Dumb genetics! (I'm still kind of convinced I was switched at birth... with a poodle.)
Of course all people with curly hair are crazy! Why'd you think the crazy sign is twisting the imaginary curls by your head?
My background is similar to all other Black Americans of the diaspora-mixed up, lol... African, Irish, French and supposedly Blackfoot Indian *shrug* My father's side of the family is still very much in touch with their Irish roots since they lived "freely" with both races since the 1600s in Canada. No real record of the African or Creole (French) heritage.

My father is a dark skinned Dominican with 4b hair. Mom is a white Dominican with 3a hair (she's lost her curls now that she's older). My entire family is so many different colors (all Dominican and some PR on my mom's side) but that's normal down there.

My thick hair is 3C. My sister's fine hair is 4A. Its funny how you can have siblings with different types of hair.

Let's see if I can get this right! My dad is mainly Black with a little Native American (we can't trace back what else). His hair is big deep waves that he lays down with a KNEE HIGH ON HIS HEAD! people think that his hair is processed.

My mom consider's herself Black-- but is mostly 70%ish Native American (Cherokee, Lumbee mostly--there's more) then White (Irish) then a little Black. Her curls are pretty much straight now with age/medication maybe, but she's always roller setting her hair so I have no idea what kind of curls she really has (hmmmmm I think I'll be experimenting with her when I get back to the states!!!). When she was a toddler her hair was straightish with big curls--I think? I'm not a good hair typer!

Then there's me--somesay 3c, somesay 3b3c, some say 3c4a--someone said 4b soooooo I guess I'm 3b-4b!?? WhO knows!!

Sorry my post is sooo long-I'm soo longwinded and like to talk ALOT!

I just BC'd!!!!

Products: AOHSR (I leave this in too--hope that's okay?), GDLI, KCKT, KCCC (got to figure this one out), Coconut oil, AOMM

CURL TYPE: ????????
I think I got side tracked with the German. My mom is African American (creole) from Louisiana. My father is an interesting mixture. His mother is biracial with a white mother(German) and a Native American father(Chickasaw). And his father is biracial with an African mother(Angolan) and a Native American Father(Chickasaw). Phew! That is a mouth full.
I have no idea what my actual racial makeup is because I'm adopted. My birth certificate says black so that's what I am. . .lol. Anyways, I'm from the great state of Mississippi . . .that's right I'm an official member of G.R.I.T.S (girls raised in the south) . . .lol
My mom is african american and my father is south asian. It's funny. When I was a little girl my hair was fairly straight. Its now defintely 3c. I have corser hair around my ears and very straight hair at the back of my head. My hair is probably just past my armpits when curly. I do have a serious mixture going on it drives me nuts.

Meanwhile, people always ask me if my hair is fake. One of my really good friends told me this was because people assumed only lighter people had real hair that was long and not as densely curly (i'm fairly dark). Go figure.
3b/3c/4a african-asian mix. Using: Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, Suave coconut condish, Aveda Sap Moss products, fantasia IC gel, some phyto products.

HEY!!! Follow me at http://www.twitter.com/kurleeedna
my mom is from alabama, she's a light skinned black with mostly very fine 3c hair. she's probably got a mix of stuff in her but she's never said what. my daddy is from ghana with super dense 4c that till this day he picks into a small afro......loves it!!!
i consider myself black but if someone asks (which people do all the time) i tell them that i'm half african. my hairdresser for years in high school would always ask was my family hispanic or from south america, but she would NEVER (after 4 years!) even think i could be african.
