How do you 3Bs and 3As use FOTE gel? I went to Walmart and got me some travel size ones and I wanted to experiment, but before I do that I wanted to hear from you that have tried the aloe vera gel and how you used it?? as a leavin? as a gel? combine with other products? do tell.... thanks

I love FOTE AVG! My Walmart was out yesterday when i went to pick some up! did you take it!? . Well, i use FOTE AVG for everything! I use it as a leave in since its very moisturizing (i still you another leave in as well), I use it to SOTC, i use it to pat away frizzy, or just to smooth it over hair if hair seems thirsty. Hope this helps!

LOL...burgundy_locks I think I did take them, soRRy Thanks for the advice ladies, I will try it as a leave in and as a de-cruncher...lol I do like that word. Before I buy the bigger bottle I want to test on the small travel ones and see if the FOTE works for me!!! will keep everyone informed.

Aha! I knew it!! Well, he're the thing about FOTE and the month of April... we are getting closer to the summer time (some of us are already having 80 degree weather )and summer time = sun, which equals sun-tanning, which sometimes (if you're me!) equals sun BURN. and then you wont be able to find the AVG! I never thought you would be the one to take the last bottle of the AVG but YOU DID! And now i have very little and can't find it anywhere. AVG is such a versatile product that you might want to have an extra bottle or 2! If you use hard gels, the AVG is perfect to counteract the hard- like when using BRHG. I've read of curlys who just use FOTE AVG and BRHG! Of course, you will want to see if you like first, but it's so cheap, that you could probably buy 2! and if it doesnt work for you, you can send it to me!

Burgundy, I never thought about using FOTE to scrunch out the crunch. I will have to try that!! I had serious crunch today, from product overload, and needed something other than my hand to SOTC. Thanks for the heads up!!!

OK, after reading the post this morning I decided to go to Walmart on my lunch break, because I didnt want to be left out with no FOTE. So, guess what I got me 4 bottles of FOTE (18oz for $5 and it has a pump ) I got a lil crazy because I know I like this so much I didnt want it to run out and I know myself I tend to run around crazy looking for it. Hey B, if you need one just PM me. my Walmart has a bunch of the little 2oz for 99cents but not that many of the larger ones I have to go back this weekend my mom feel in love w/ FOTE too.

Yup! AVG is aloe vera gel. FOTE is a brand- fruit of the earth. there are other like LOTD which is lily of the desert. SOTC means scrunch(ing) out the crunch. for this process people use their bare hands, or a product such a lite gel- like AVG or a cream. if you go to general curly hair section, there is a sticky post at the top with the acronyms... there are TONS!

See, since i finally started getting the hang of the acronyms, i love just throwing them around like the pro's . BSRH is a gel- BioSilk Rock Hard gellee. it has great hold and more likely than not will make yoru hair... rock hard! lots of curlies use it because of the hold, but are not cool with the hard look which is why they SOTC . i've never had an issue with BSRH leaving any kind of white flakey build up stuff that some gels leave when you touch your hair too much, so thats cool!

I just started mixing FOTE with Curl Keeper and the Curly Hair Solutions Gel in equal parts and use on 2nd - 5th day hair. I love the results.
