what hair products do you recommend?
so, i'm a 3c i believe, and i am looking for a new hair regimen, as the old one is old and really doesn't work so well. i don't shampoo my hair at all, so a shampoo isn't necessary. what all do you recommend? conditioner, leave in, DT, other assorted hair products, etc. thanks in advance for your help!:toothy10:
this thread was originally posted in the 4A section, but i think it can be of some use based on what you are looking for
2. Knot Today(leave in conditioner)
3. Herbal Essence Hydralicious Reconditioning Conditioner(white bottle)
4. Mixed Chicks for my ponytail (light hold days with no gels)
5. Agua aka water-lots of it :)
When I don't feel like using gels or anything and just want a ponytail for work for the week. I will use mixed chicks leave in conditioner because it has a light hold and doesn't really have build-up. It's wierd at first I didn't like this product but now I appreciate the light hold for those days where I don't need a big hair production...
Shikai everyday conditioner as a leave-in or rinse-out. It's organic, great moisturizer and detangler.
ingredients: purified water, cetearyl alcohol and ceteareth 20, glycerin(vegetable), amla seed oil, jojoba oil, behetrimonium chloride, amodimethicone, panthenol, guar powder, diazolidinyl urea, natural fragrance.
I get mine from the Vitamin Shoppe.......Luv it!!
usually when hair products "stop" working it usually bc you hair has accumulated a buildup of products and so your hair wont respond the same way or has and hard time recieving moisture.
other than that the products i use are
garnier frutis sleek and shine leave in conditioner (this is my fave)
coconut oil mixed with aloe gel
ive been trying raw shea butter (still havnt decided if i like the smell)
and i just purchased chi keratin mist i have yet to try this out i waited for the next tim i wash my hair
elucence moisture balancing conditioner. it works great as a rinse out conditioner, co wash, leave in, and mixed with oil and honey as a dt.
fantasia ic gel w/ sparkelites
I use a rinse out conditioner daily, usually HE Hello Hydration or the Generic Paul Mitchell Detangler. Once a week, I may use Dairy Whip. I sometimes will leave in a small amount of V05 calming chamomile tea before getting out of the shower while the hair is really soaking wet. Then I mix KBB hair nectar with KCKT (about 50/50). On top of that, I mix KCCC with Long Aid Activator Gel (about 25/75)...lately I've been mixing the last two 50/50 because the KCCC gives a bit more hold and I live in a humid climate. I know it sounds like a lot, but it works for me. Hope this helps!
