Hello all,

I just joined, but I've been reading this site for a while.

I, too, am wondering whether I am 3c or 4a... maybe a combination of both?

This is the best photo I have of my hair (unstraightened).

I am curious because I intend to attempt doing the CG thing - for a while, anyway - and want to ensure that I get the right products.

Combo.

As for getting the right products, it depends more on your individual hair than hair type.

What may work for one may not work for another, even if both have the same hair type.

Its really a trial by error experience to find your holy grails.

Good luck!

your hair looks sorta like mine, i use shea-moisture shea butter leave-in mixed with a little castor, at the moment this is my fav. styler insted of a gel. i co-wash with aussie moist and i love Halka Baba de Caracol Intensive treatment (it's a dominican product and makes my hair feel wonderful)

Click the button below that says Manage Attachments and upload a picture from your computer.

Do you have a texturizer or are you natural?

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely try that (I'm waiting for my current products to get used up before I buy anything else).
