good leave-in or styler for puffy, dry hair?

i want to order a really good leave-in and styler that will give very puffy, coarse, dry hair good shine and definition.

any suggestions would really help me get started.

i have KCCC and lustrasilk shea conditioner and that's it! peace, M
i've been reading the boards for months and i have lists of many different products but i can't really figure out what gets the most praise.

can you tell me where to order it and which oil to use as a pre-wash/dt? thanks, natural world, M
kccc is really good. look at miss jessies, jessicurl, curl junkie, carols daughter, curls and giovanni direct leave- in.
to Libra: i'll definitely order the sheamoisture leave-in.
thx.

sounds rich enough for very full,
very thick, very long curls!

if i use enough product, i really lose the puffy and the dry feeling
but the products i've been ordering online are small - really for thin and short hair, i think.
I would recommend a conditoner that you can also use as a leave-in:
Mop Top Daily Conditioner
John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli detangler
Lustrasilk Olive cholesterol
Robert Craig conditioner

All of the above are great moisturizers and detanglers, and are suitable to be left in. That way you get a double moisture hit. Except for Lustrasilk, they also have some protein and that's what makes them good leave-ins.

i get a lot of the items on my list from you -thanks for the help- your posts are fantastic.

a creamy conditioner is the right leave-in for me. has to be very oily and also rich.

which leave-in or daily cond do you think is the oiliest, riches of them all?
and i really need to be able to get it cheap b/c i need a good 20 oz a month.

can you also tell me where to order online if you have any suggestions?

libra- thx for the swap bd reminder.
namaste natural ones, M

elucence moisture balancing conditioner + castor oil is my HG leave in. it works as a regular conditioner and it can be left it. its creamy and has protein. its amazing. you can get at curlmart on this site or on www.pleasantimage.com

i dont know how you feel about cones but my hair loves them so i never look to see if a product has them. My hair now is past apl straight, so its pretty short when curly. I dont like using really expensive products and I can never find any of the reccommended products so i buy stuff i can get at the drugstore.

I am using Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave in Conditioner (originally for straight hair) and mixing it with with Extra hold Garnier Wet Shine Gel. It gives it alot of hold but the conditioner keeps it soft and prevents it from looking wet or crunchy.

the ONLY thing my hair has responded to is oil. i need to buy some pure shea.

i'm using so much product (thick and long hair) that i need to stick to a pretty cheap leave-in also. i go through a 16 oz bottle in less than 2 wks.

Nikki, i found your product list or one of them.
do you use these as a leave-in also? or just DT?
DevaCare One Condition + Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment

do you like an oil or just the Shea? i know everyone's hair reacts differently but i need a starting place with some successful thick women in the 3 or 4 category (although i don't entirely know i like the classification methods b/c it's unclear which i am).

thanks and namaste, M
I order my shea butter from nasabb.com. A lot of people recommended them to me, and I love their shea butter. Only July 18 they are having a 50% off sale, but it will take 3-4 weeks to ship because of the influx of orders they will recieve. Right now there's a 10% off code on the website.
