Favorite Hair Cocktails
I was just wondering what hair cocktails you guys thought worked best for your 3c hair. Right now for me it is GDL and KCCC (tiny, tiny amount) or GDL and Cantu Shea Butter, if my hair seems to be losing shine. I know everyones hair reacts to products differently but I just thought it would be fun to see what pairings everyone else uses.

GDLI and KCCC work really well for my hair. Also GDLI and Long Aid have been doing the job recently too. But if I had to pick a favorite, I would definately go with the GDLI and the KCCC. I love that stuff!!!!

i use AOHR mixed with jojoba oil.
i just got a big tub of GDLI from the fedex guy today so i'll try that mixed with my KCCC (i hated KCCC but do i need to be sure to only use a tiny tiny amount?)
how do you guys use the KCCC - on soaking wet hair or just a bit on ends?
thank you, M

Lately I've tried something different (for me).
On wet/cowashed hair, use ORS Elasti-ci-tea leave in, LA Looks Cashmere curls, comb through. Air dry.
If I feel the hair is too crunchy from gel after drying I will apply a bit of shea butter to the ends only. That's it.
I have similar results as if I were using conditioner only as my styler, except my hair dries three times faster now.

we're talking about leave-in cocktails and not conditioners to rinse out, right?
and, anyone who uses kccc: should i try it again?
KCCC made my hair feel dry.
should i put it on soaking wet hair?
maybe just use a tiny amount?

I have a few combos, but I use them the same way, so I'll just say generically:
- rinseout conditioner + KBB hair milk to detangle
- castor oil or butter over that, then cold water rinse
- a leave in, sometimes more castor oil, then squeeze drippies with Curls like us cloth
- Gel in spots where needed.

yes, most likely leave-in cocktails.....but really anything that u think makes ur hair better
as far as KCCC goes, from my experience the more KCCC there is, the longer it takes to dry and the more jerri curlish it looks
for me i basically stick my hand in the tub, and whatever coats my hands is what i put on it. I don't SCOOP out any amount. And also the more leave-in the better, to counteract with the KCCC. Like 90/10 or 80/20.
And one last thing, I found that my hair comes out a lot better when done in the shower. I can easily and effectively re-wet sections that may have dried out in the process of me working on another section.

I've just started cassia treatments (every 2weeks) which I think really has helped with damage. I've been experimenting with a few different conditioners but the best combo so far is:
co-wash with Deva Care One Condition (even though it works well I don't think there's enough of a difference for the price so I'm just using it until its finished)
then apply Giovanni Leave in condt (my hair is pretty thick so I use a lot of it) I also like Shikai Everyday Conditioner as a leave in as well. If I want to put my hair up in a ponytail or bun I use 100% coconut oil with water to smooth back my hair.

The other day I tried a combo with my leave-in, hard hold gel, and curl activator.. that worked out well too.
Anyone else try it like this?
