Default Can someone recommend a good moisturizer??

I'm new to the board, but not new to hair forums, and I'm currently 13 months and like 3 weeks post relaxer, I just wanted to know good moisturizers for my hair so that it doesn't feel and look so dry.

Thanks.

I'm currently using:

HEHH
Oyin Juices and Berries
AOHR
Elasta QP - deep conditioner
Shea Butter
Coconut Oil
Shea Cholestorel - I think that's the name of it, it's orange.

These work, but I want something more moisturizing because my hair gets dry after the second day.

Default Moisturizers

First welcome MsCocoa, I am new to the site also.

From what I read by searching Fleurzty's site, good moisturizers contain jojoba oil, shea butter, emu oil, panthenol and vitamin E. You may also search moisture, moisturizer, moisturizing and other forms of the word in the search area near the top of the page.

I just started using Jessicurl Too Shea! as a leave-in and I love it so far.

For quick spritzes on 2nd/3rd day hair, I mix water with glycerin, aloe vera and small amounts of oils (jojoba - my favorite, or olive, or almond, or grapeseed... whatever your hair likes...) in a spray bottle.

I use Aloe Gel ( there is just no getting around that one) and an oil.

It might be shea butter, cocoa butter, hemp seed oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, etc.

Most of you need, you can find at your grocery store. If you don't like the scent of it, you can add a few sprays of perfume or some essential oils to scent it.

IMO, the moisturizers from Qhemet Biologics line are excellent! I personally use the Burdock Root Butter Cream and the Olive and Honey Hydrating Balm. Another good moisturizer is the Hair Milk from KBB.

I'm not sure which brand it is, but I did my Mom's boyfriend's daughters hair and used a coconut lotion in her hair before I put a stylling lotion in it. It made her hair very soft.

If I put anything besides conditioner in my hair I really like monoi de tahiti oil. It has coconut in it and smells heavenly. Or I'd use coconut oil.
