ok last night i washed my hair usin the "teri method" and defined my hair by twirling. However the front/top of my hair was just not makin it with the twirling process. that sectio of my hair is looser but yet more fuzzy and less willing to clump. so it looked likt i had a cap of hair wit a totally different look than the twirls. not sure wut to do about it... here's a picture of the non-cohesive hairstyle. sorry not extremely clear. (top view, then side view)

my hair doesn't hold curls that well either in the front so i just have to play it off either doing some type of twist and curl or pinning that area back...but where is the teri method???

I have problems in that area too. It seems to be a sheet of curly hair instead of separated curls like the rest of my hair. I just let it be now. Do you get more tangles in that area? I certainly do.

I do the Teri Method too. It's on www.biracialhair.org
My hair refuses to look corkscrewy to in the back of my head. Maybe you need to twirl it in the other direction, wrap it around a strwa and let it dry or like me: Give up and just smooth it the regular way.

Anyway, your hair looks really nice.

I definitely wanted to try smoothing for defining my hair but i feel like right now my hair is too short for that. i don't have the length to weigh my hair down. (which is why i tried the twirling method) my hair doesn't really get tangled at the top, because like i said it's a looser texture. it's just more fuzzy.
