Blow Dryers & Diffusers

I need to purchase a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment. I haven't had one before, but I'm tired of walking out of the house with my hair wet. Does anyone have any suggestions of the type of diffuser I should get? I noticed there are diffusers with "fingers", without "fingers", etc.

I'm just feeling a little clueless right now...

hi creolelatina

i think that all diffusers work the same. i bought one at sallys because i lost the one that came with my blowdryer. the lady suggested i get a sock diffuser( its like a mitten that fits any size dryer) because i wasn/t sure about the size of my dryer. she said it works the same as all the others.
hope that helps

ITA. The sock diffusers at Sally's are 3 or 4 bucks and fits most blow dryers, but I've never used one. I bought a ConAir blow dryer from Target for 15.99 that has Ceramic and Ionic technology. It's 1875 watts but I use it on the medium speed, low heat setting and it works great. It came with a big bowl/finger diffuser and an air conentrator. I definitely recommend it, for the quality and the price (btw, its purple with a retractable cord I get excited about lame stuff like that).
