I would have to say your a 3c with a little 4a mixed in. For your hairtype and hairtexture I would suggest you trying Blended Beauty's Happy Nappy Styles+Kick For Curls Spritz. Also Curl Junkie's Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta Leave-In.

Hope this helps!
"Curls Tester"
Products in my current regime: Nioxin Scalp Therapy Shampoo, ORS Replenishing Pak, Curls Whipped Cream, Curls Souffle, Curls Spiral Curls Cream, Curls Milkshake, Curls Quenched, BB(Bonner Brothers) Growth Lotion
another hair twin, ecept your hair can like down lol absolutley BEAUTIFUL! Your like a 3c/4a try gel, like fantasia. How did you get your hair to lay down like in the second picture? your waves are soo pretty. what are you doing now?
What everyone else said -- your hair looks like mixed 3c/4a, and very pretty. Do you typically brush down your hair and wear it out like your photos? Here are some products I use and like -- I am mostly 4a, hair around your length, with some 3c. I wear hair out 99%. Since I don't brush I need good texture definition:

Leave-in (very important for me) - Curl Junkie Hibisucus & Banana Honey Leave in (fine) or Giovanni Direct Leave-in. Both excellent.

Styling or Styling combos:
--IC Fantasia Gel(blue for color-treated, not clear) with sparkalites (can use over a leave-in or styling cream)
--Curl Keeper under Blended Beauty Styling Butter cream (excellent, moisture-rich combo)
--Blended Beauty Styling butter cream with drugstore gel overlayered where needed - also excellent combo
--Curls Souffle with Curl Keeper (these go well together) - plump curls
--Curls Milkshake (alone or with a drugstore gel) - great for day 2+ hair and many folks use Milkshake as their leave-in

(Curl Keeper is a frizz reducer/eliminator, clear serum-like)

I get the best effect when I layer products.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
your curl pattern is very pretty
My combo that I would suggest is a leave in like one of the Curl Junkie leave ins or the Kinky Curly Knot Today and a gel. I use and love Kinky-Curly Curling Custard I get better results with using it long term because it is all natural and doesnt build up. But you can try Fantasia IC over a leave in conditioner.
Or if you prefer something more buttery and heavy a lot of ladies like Blended Beauty Happy Nappy as SYB suggested or even Curls Whipped Cream I hear is good.
Thick coarse 4b hair. Holy Grail: Kinky-Curly Curling Custard. Trying to grow it to bra strap length. Currently collar bone length.

To answer your question when I brush conditioner in my hair and let it dry it looks like the second picture. If I shake it, like for a shake and go, it looks like the first picture. after conditioning I use a little whipped shea butter to keep it soft.
For control and curl definition I like Let's Jam Shining and Conditioning Gel. I know that I sound like a spokesperson but hey it gets the job done.
3c
Relaxer free since '96. TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Shampoo, TIGI Bed Head Foxy Curls condish, Let's Jam Conditioning Gel Extra Hold, IC Tea Tree Instant Moisturizer, and African Royale hot six oil
Nothing much to add... just wanted to say GORGEOUS HAIR! Good luck finding an HG
