Soft Bouncy Curls

Hello all...question for you...
I can't seem to find a product or a combination of products that give my hair shine, moisture, definition and keep it soft. After a few days my hair always loses its bounce and gets sticky. Add if I don't moisturize daily my hair gets so dry and breaks right off So what do you guys use to make your hair bouncy, soft moisturized, shiny and defined? (or am I asking for too much)

I am looking in your fotki album for December.. where is this lack of shine you speak of? Your hair looks great.

I don't know what your daily routine is, but checking your sig you seem to be using a lot of natural products, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Do you wear protective styles? I had a lot of breakage over the summer from wearing my hair out all the time. Since I started doing protective styles (buns, french rolls, etc.) my breakage is pretty much under control. A few hairs still break off but not nearly as bad as they did in the past.

My staples: Mane n Tail (cowash), Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine (leave in condish), Grapeseed oil or shea butter (sealing), Organic Root Stimulator Elasticitea (leave-in condish & light hold)
Thanks bekkapoo I think I know how to make my hair shiny and have defined curls but it never feels soft and it easily turns greasy, or straw like after the second day. It may be product build up but if I use any less product I get breakage. In the past I used to do wash and go's daily in the summer and flat iron in the winter and since I've stopped using direct heat I've tried to have the curls last more than 1 day for the winter. But my hair isn't quite the way I want it just yet. I do use natural products as much as I can but I've been having some bad skin reactions to a lot of the good stuff like olive oil,Shea butter and coconut oil.

maybe its the protein in your products combined with the henna treatments that youre doing thats causing the breakage and dryness. henna mimics protein, so your hair could be getting entirely too much. the same thing happened to me actually. i use products with protein and then did henna and cassia treatments and my hair was dry as tumbleweed and broke off like crazy. i had to lay off my protein products until my hair went back to normal. then i ditched the henna/cassia from my routine.
I did notice my hair was extremely dry after Henna/Cassia when I first started but I figured it was because I was using the cheapy henna for hair. My last Henna that I did a few weeks ago I finally got my hands on some BAQ henna and my hair was much smoother it still breaks if I'm not too careful though. I think I will lay off the Henna for a bit and see what happens.
