Used Ouidad later Curlisto products and had to deep condition constantly, like 1 x a week. Used no oil-based products because these lines didn't work with oil. Almost all their products contain silicones, including the curlisto DT. And the shampoos contain sulfates.
Doing the mod-CG routine has helped a lot. Used to shampoo 1 x a week, now it's 2 x a month. And a test of whether my hair retains moisture well is if it will hold texture for 2 or more days without re-wetting. Also the more I'm on mod-CG the more receptive my hair is to butters and oils
