Great Gel for Twist-Outs that last!

.....so I finally perfected my twist-out only to find that they were getting quite fuzzy/frizzy by the second day. Last night, purely out of desperation, I re-twisted my hair with Kiss My Face Upper Management Gel - I have been using it to slick back my edges but it was going to be a humid, rainy day today and I knew I would look like a fuzz ball if I didn't try something.

....Oh my!!!!!! My twists look amazing, no frizz after walking around in the rain all morning.

The best part is: my hair was NOT crunchy when I took the twists out and is still very soft.

Great product!!!!

...I know!!!!! My bottle has been sitting under my bathroom sink for months. It's great to find a gem when you least expect it.
I agree! I've been using this gel to do my two strand twists for a few months and it's a great gel. Too bad I can't find it on ground.

Been rocking a KMF twist out for 5 days now, and haven't had to retwist once, AND am in humid Ghana this week! Its a bit fuzzy today, which I don't mind as will just wear a puff tomorrow and rewash tomorrow eve, but this is the longest I've ever been able to get away with just pineappling for 4 nights in a row!

How do you use it for twisting? Do you put it all in your hair first then twist, or do you do it as you twist? And is that the only thing you use when you twist?
I wash, condition and then put in my moisturizer - Oyin Whipped Pudding, another miracle product!

Then I add a little gel to each individual section right before I twist it. It takes a little longer but you can really control the amount of gel you're using this way and it ensures an even application.

Although I haven't tried putting it all on my hair first, I would imagine if you did that the gel might dry before you finish your entire head and you may have to keep re-wetting.

Hope this helps!
@ Kaycook - do you retwist / add more oyin nightly?

So, yes, after my initial wash, condition & Oyin application I will add more Whipped Pudding - especially at the roots - as I re-twist. If my hair starts to feel a little dry, I will add a little even if I'm not re-twisting.

In August, I will be natural for 2 years, so I'm still figuring out what works. But the Whipped Pudding has been a staple for me since the beginning and it keeps my hair soft until my next wash.

I've been searching for a good moisturizing spray (which I recently discovered: SheaMoisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Mist) My twist/braidouts don't last long so by the 4th day that's when I'm usually putting in a moisturizer. Because of this I'm on the hunt for a styler that is super moisturizing but holds as well. Qhemet's BRBC moisturizes my hair very good but I don't imagine it working good for twisting or braiding.

If that means I need to re-twist to get my definition back...then so be it.

....The Kiss My Face Upper Management Gel does provide good moisturizing hold that sets for days but the fuzziness you may get when adding moisture is just the reality of our hair - which is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you for the review and tips, I am definitely going to try it :-) I've been looking for something other then KCCC to use for my twist-outs.

The KMF is excellent for twisting and retwisting. I use it on both wet and dry hair. It keeps down frizzing and is quite reasonable compared to KCCC.
