Fa get turnin kinks to curls. How do I turn Curls to kinks?

I remember I used to read on here ppl makin excuses and attempting to "justify" (Like they really need to ) why they have a texturizer. One of the reasons they claimed was because their hair was different textures and they wanted to make them all equal.

Since I thought that was stupid and ridiculous I resorted to twistouts/braidouts etc to get my fros to look more uniform. I grew tired of wash n go's cuz I couldn't find many products that made the Wash n Go's work and KCCC costs too much to use on the regular like that. But even with Wash n go's I'm havin the same problem I am having right now... My looser texture in the back hangs! WTF?

So anyway today I'm in a situation where my hair has completely shrunken from water pretty much and I have no more KCCC for a Wash n Go and I don't like too many other things for a wash n go and I dont' have 2-3 hours to spend twisting/braiding my hair up. So as someone on twitter suggested, I put on a headband and just puffed my hair out.

BUT THAT DAMNED 3C section f*ckin my sh*t up!! I got a nicely packed fro full of kinks and this bullsh*t ass 3C section hangin all loosely like it aint tryna cooperate.

I sprayed it with water,
I sprayed KC Spiral Spritz (Usually that shrinks my stretched hair right up)
I've tried water based products

And the sh*t barely frizzes. this is some bullsh*t.

I've even tried running a small tooth comb through it to poof it out and it clumped right back together.

ANd it's not even like "Oh no one can tell" the sh*t looks obvious as hell. My kinks are all up and puffed and the curls are all hangin there. It's not even like a LARGE section. Just in the back lookin all mismatched!

So what are some suggestions?

First off, "Oh woe is you!" Waaaaaahhhhh, my hair is hanging, poor me!!!

Now that that's done - water based products are going to make your looser section hang more (as water is weighing it down), so I suggest using something thicker like a butter-based product or some shea and then fluff/pick it out as it dries.

You know all I do is wash n gos, and even my looser sections (I even have some random parts that are straight up s curls, like more 3bish) will turn into a fro like that *snap* when I fluff out with a pomade or something.

Hope that helps...geek.

lmao

You are a true wench...

anyway The water was supposed to dry and kink up.

and I should show you a pic of the sh*t it looks horrible. the fro is even except for a few curls in the back. It aint even like a large section it's the very bottom back. It looks like I got like 5 or 6 curled duck tails in the back. the sh*t looks awkward as hell.

anyway I didn't have time for a wash n go. What are good wash n Go products besides KCCC?

LOL call me a wench, FINE. Hey boo!

I just did a wash n go using Ohm Sweet Hair Pudding and Kiss My Face Upper Management Gel - I really love this gel!!! I haven't used KCCC since like March when Izzy was still teeny weeny. You can get it from Whole Foods, and I like it better than KCCC b/c the hold is softer. You could also use Long Aid (I like the regular one better and you can pick that up at a BSS...I went to one on like Pico and La Brea) or AG Re: Coil, which is sold Diamond Beauty Supply and some other places.

If it's only a little hair, can you hide that section under your headband? Just roll up the part that hangs and tuck it in?

Have you tried teasing that section of it w/a comb like chicks in the 80s used to do?

I dunno if that would work LoL I'm just on here talkin.
what about setting lotion or gel and rolling on rods or other small rollers? seems like too much work but hey... it's a suggestion

My daughter and I have this same problem this is what we do.

My crazy section is the front so I pull my puff back as far as possible so the ends don't stick out and lay there limp looking stupid. So perhaps you can try pulling your puff farther forward.

My daughter's crazy section is in the back and her hair is a lot longer so she takes that section braids it and wraps it around the base of the puff. It looks like a hair headband.

Thats the story of my life. Because my front is 3c and not the back. There is very little I can do about it. I just try not to mess with it too much while styling my hair. No Denmans there either. The more I comb, the straighter it gets...
