And on top of all that, I remember someone posting on this site (many years ago) that they were/are using an Affirm relaxer. So they aren't even using the "Miss Jessie's Brand Relaxer" that they formulated. I couldn't (with a clear conscience) charge those prices. The customers are really paying for the ambiance and for the sisters' time. But, to some it may be worth it. Just not my cup of tea.
I am very happy about the salon, it is beautiful. And about the bourgeouis comment they have the right to create a cute, upscale environment everything doesn't have to be all homely and around the way. This shows that black women can run a quality business with great products and services.
Texture: proud 4a (3c at the nape). Regimen: co-wash everyday.deep condition, de-tangle and seal once a week. Current Favs: Treseme Naturals shampoo & conditioner, wide tooth comb, coconut oil, Shea Moisture curling smoothie, ampro clear styling gel . Protective Style: buns
It IS expensive and unfortunately the "services" and from what I read on City Search, Yelp, NP.com and here, their customer service sucks. I love bougie, but I want the service and results to match what I'm paying.
I've been to places with that same appearance, but paid far less for services than what they are charging - even in NYC.
