QB AOHC- How to avoid the greasy feel?

I bought QB's AOHC a couple of weeks ago against my better judgment and want of the BRBC instead. I find it very moisturizing except when used alone or over oil or whatever, every time i touch my hair there is a slight very very slight greasy residue. I use very little only 3 nickel size dabs of this product, as we all know a little goes a long way. lately I've been spritizing my hair with water and conditioner and then applying the AOHC cream, no greasy feel. However, I was wondering if anyone has come up with something better.

What Ive recently found out is I have to use it on damp hair. If I use a watery hair milk before and a tad bit of the AOHC then I am good to go. I have to have damp hair when using this, if not then I will have a slightly greasy feel.
I've never had that problem but based on what you all are saying I guess it's because I always used it on damp hair. You learn something new everyday.

When I do my twists, I use this alone over my leave in conditioner on wetish/damp hair. I dont combine this with anything else since it is so rich and a little goes a long way.

I agree that the Burdock Root is a little lighter especially if you have fine hair. My thick tresses soak up the AOHC but I still have to be cautious about how much I use.
Over 10 years natural and still growing...
If I use it alone on damp or dry hair, I get the sticky feeling. Only if I use my spritz first and then apply it, no sticky residue. I FEEL spoiled now b/c of BRBC, since its not greasy and I want it now instead of AOHC. I wonder if there is too much of one ingredient that gives it that slight greasy residue.

I have both. I use the AOHC at night, because for some reason, my hair gets dry at night. I scrunch some in after emulsifying in my hands with a drop of glycerin. My hair is soft in the morning, but squished. I sleep in a Satin bonnet. To "unsquish", I spray with water/glycerin/condish spritz, and then scrunch BRBC and shake my head, and top with CIAB...works well!

So I undid my twists again today (i have to re-twist at night or frizzy twists in the am) and my hair was ON POINT!!! I looked in the mirror and was like WOW. it looked as if I got my hair colored so I definitely think my hair likes QB products, but I'm itching to get the OHHB and BRBC plus the Honeybush soft tea gel. My wallets screaming!!!!

I know this is an old topic but should Qhemet be applied to wet or dry hair to avoid the greasiness factor? I cant seem to get any of the amla products to work for me.
Try it on wet or damp hair.
