Well what I have is a blend, so it's lighter, for me at least. Shea butter turns white on my wet hair while this sinks right in.

I agree with ladies above, DON'T CUT THAT HAIR AND DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Finding the right product is trial and error, but definitely commit to finding brands that work for you.

Qhemet Biologics has good stuff, the best IMO is OHHV (Olive and HOney Hydrating Balm). Leaves hair soft, shiny and featherweight light! No greasy feel afterward like AOHC and slight moisturizing like BRBC.

You need oil for scalp and your ends: Olive, Coconut, Almond, Jojoba- a really good one.
Shea butter, just about any butter will do.
Deep moisturizing conditioner to cleanse scalp and hair also. And try DT weekly if you can, might seem a bit girly with all this stuff to , but its worth it.
