Light leave in?
I'm kind of at a loss. I'm having a problem I never had before. My scalp and hair are demanding a leave in lighter then my Vo5. At one point that was a light leave in for me. This is a problem I haven't had before. But it is a happy one. So now I'm looking for a lighter leave in.
What does every one think of theDarcy spray leave ins or the CD leave ins? Do you have any sudgestions of your own.
My hair is 3c/4a, med text, low porosity, and on the lower side of thick but still thick.
Thank you all in advance!

I consider GDLI to be light (reason I stopped using it), but I'm sure you've tried that one already.

I'll have to revisit it. It was too light for me when my hair needed a heaveyer LI, but it might just be the ticket now.

Does anyone NOT use a leave in at all? Is there any chance of damage if you don't use a leave in? My hair feels great with a leave in but then I get no volume and my hair goes flat. I stopped using a leave in at the beginning of the summer and my hair seems to be thriving. I'm deep conditioning with protein and moisture, alternatly. I also Henna ( ) monthly. I know that the leave in protects the hair shafts so not using one.....? TIA

Um I kinda dont. When Im conditioning, I only rinse some of it out and whats left seems to be enough for my hair.

Darcy's Botanicals Curl Detangling Milk
Nature's Baby Organics
Donna Marie MiraCurl Detangler & Conditioner
Afro Detangler
@NaturalFinally: I did in the beginning when I didn't know what I was doing...then I stopped...but I've recently started to again this summer b/c I have to wash my hair everday or almost every day and I don't use a comb. So I need the added detangling action lol. I will most likely stop when the weather cools down though.

Might I just say. MCC I love you! Why? Your feeding my growing need to try out Darcy's and possibly Carols. I've been eyeing the light leave ins and detangleing milk from Darcys. I'm convinced the spray leave ins would at least make great light moisturizers for when I want to put my hair up in a puff on day two and three.
I would die of delight if her spray leave ins worked on my hair.
How is the DB hair milk? Is it good?

lol well I'm not feeding your need to try CD. I'm NOT a fan! And to be honest, of all the condish I listed, I found Nature's Baby Organics to be the best...and yes, its "for babies" lol. DB's, DM's, and AD's were all about equal and all came in second to that...

I spent way to much money trying to do the tightly curly method to finally figure out my hair won't tolerate heavy leave-ins. I get a residue. My hair stays wet forever and when it does dry it's crunchy. I think it's because my hair is fine with low-porosity.
I tried a mousse which worked just okay, but now I'm using Aussie's Hair Insurance and I love it.
That said I do use heavy conditioners in the shower to detangle.
