Not only that, you (general you) have to remember that a base is a FINISHED product if you have to add water and preservatives then it is not a base. Exactly. You hit pay dirt with the Almond Glaze and the Whipped Gelly, Divadee. The other things have ingredients that are a little off to be sure. If you go back to the first page and look at the Brendita, Jasmine's, Zipporah comparisons and Afroveda on pg. 9, you'll see what we mean. It looks almost exactly the same except for an oil or 2 and often listed in the same order.

Wow, I remember that going on at nappturality, LOL - THATS why I left years ago. I had a similar experience when I was asking about an unrulely patch on my head that doesnt have a lot of curl. I got the

^^^^ that site is where I first heard of hair typing and the mysterious "C-Napp" LOL I feel like some of them who have 4b hair that they don't like and/or have not learned how to handle go overboard with notion to "love your hair" even so far as to make up a new degree of "nappiness" to feel special rather than outcast. Insecurity is a b-word. Its really odd. I tried to get help about the different textures/patterns on my head and was ignored for the most part. Some of them act like anything looser than 4a is not really "natural" its just regular ole curly. Ironically enough...it is there that I first read the phrase "making curls pop" (and it STILL drives me CRAZY)

I felt I wasnt nappy enough, honestly .LOL Ironically, there was one head honcho that was a solid 3b/. She talked a good nappy game and was pretty popular, but rarely showed her hair pics...

shea aloe is alright, dunno if i could use it on its own. i have some my friend gave me and rubbed it in and was like meh.

Conditioner base: water, cetyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, propylene glycol, dicetyldimonium chloride, white tea extract, ginger root extract, hydrolyzed keratin, benzyl benzoate linalool, cirtic acid, DMDM hydantoin

That's from CurlsBySistersSmith.com They list that they use a base on their site.

I remember sending a msg to the mods a while ago regarding a certain topic & never got any kind of response back. I looked to see who the mod is here & I had never heard of her before or seen her active. That could be b/c most of my time is spent on the 4a thread.

Oh, and I still need to thank Elle for starting this & all the other ladies who have contributed to it. Very helpful & it's just one of the many reasons why I never paid good money on these "good" products. Not saying they aren't good, but they are def overpriced for them not to have magic dust in them.

The Prana and Miss Bhuriti seem to be an EW base of some kind but I'm not sure. I'm not sure what base (if they are from a base) the Kissi and Nu Milk conditioners are.

Someone had a question about the WheatPro Plus but I can't find it now. They were wondering if they had to add it in. It's already in it. When you click the Wheatpro Plus link you see its INCI name is Quaternium-79 Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. It's also the name Ingredients to Die for puts in its base. WheatPro Plus is like a brand name and it's how Mala names it in her list. So no, it's not 2 different things. So for example...

I break too many rules for them to make me a mod of anything. But I really do feel that there are qualified posters that would make great mods in this forum.
