I'm sad, my new jar of Sweet Hair Pudding is runny. I emailed Sage to let her know that this is not the same as my order from the beginning of February. The pic on the right is my first jar....I'm distraught.

How runny is it, is it like as runny as conditioner? I ask because I have ordered the OSHP and have gotten two different textures that look like yours. That's why I stopped ordering it - I ordered it like three times and it was never consistent.

Its runny, I can pour it out of the jar. Its very creamy I would say its a lot like Darcy's Curling Cream Gel. Thicker than most conditioners but still on the runny side.
It seems like it wasn't whipped either long enough or at all but I rubbed a bit on my hand and it feels nice, like it may have a bit of slip which I think would be a plus.

Hmmm, I'm no longer sad lol I think I may like it this way.

*drops head in shame*

I love the "defective" runny version!! The slip is Ah-Maz-Ing!!! The smell is still wonderful, it is thick but slippery...my hair just sucked it up.

I've already contacted Sage and ordered another defective one....don't judge me.

If that's the consistency it will be, I'll definitely buy it again!

I asked Sage to pass the message onto Ohm. They should offer it in a thinner or thicker consistency.

I'm loving it. My braids are shiny and soft.

So I finally got around to trying it again. I've been getting great results with my "regular" products that I just haven't bothered with trying anything else. Lol.

So...
Pros:
It's pink! ^_^
Easy application. The batch I recieved was not the "runny" version, but even so, it still had decent slip.
Nice scent. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's pleasant.
Soft hold. My WnGs turn out big and fluffy like how they look on 3rd day hair when I use a gel.
Provides moisture.

Cons:
Not enough frizz control for me. Even with Curl Junkie CIAB on top. To be honest, I can get similar results just using conditioner and a finisher.
Can't get muti-day hair. Not even 2nd day unless I plan to wear it up in a pony/puff. Again, I would rather just use conditioner instead of buying an extra product to do the same thing.

That being said, I know that if I were to use it for a twist or braid-out, I would love this stuff! It seems like it would have just enough hold to give my "out" style nice definition and a more natural feel. Also, it is very moisturizing for *my* hair so I don't need to use a leave-in.

Sadly, I don't do those types of styles on a regular basis like I used to around a year and a half ago. I'll keep my jar for a day I might get the itch to twist. Or I might try it in my son's hair. He has huge loopy s-curls and waves so maybe it would give him enough hold and moisture without weighing down his fine strands and making it look greasy.

Hope this helps someone!

Oh, just some info on my hair: Med/fine strands, low/normal porosity, kinky texture, mixture of tight o-shaped coils and s-shaped curls/waves. Each coil/curl/wave varies in size from coffee stirrer to number 2 pencil. And if I *had* to pick a "type" from that oh so popular system, I'd say 4a/4b.

Haha! No problem! Yeah, save your money and stick with what works.

Speaking of Komaza, which do you prefer... the coconut or the califia pudding? I've used both but it's been a while. I think I liked the coconut better though. *pj itch again*

I have only used the Califia pudding. Initially I was going to try the Coconut first, but after searching the boards/reading reviews, I chose Califia at the last minute. Happy I did. I don't think the Coconut would be heavy enough to elongate my curls/smooth frizz, even though my hair is fine. Maybe in another year when I get more length I will try it out.
