Ooo I'm glad blow dryers came up. I think it's about time I invest in a better one in the $50-$80 range. The Solica one NC was giving away last month has good reviews.

Is there anything in particular I should looking for in a blow dryer?

I actually love this dryer b/c it looks like it would be easier to hold -

But...I won't be paying for another dryer over $100.

OMG that is the cutest!!! I like that it's not the awkward ones. I have the old school driers with the handle and I hate that I can't find a way to hold it. When I'm blowing out my hair for cornrows, it's so difficult....UGH
BUT I'm not spending $200 for something I'll use once in a blue moon...

I noticed a difference with mine, but my prior blowdryer was a low-budget, puple one that I had for many years until it died. Gave me frizzy, voluminous hair LOL! Any blowdryer after that was an improvement, ionic or not, but all I saw were ionics....I figured they were the standard now.
BTW, that CHI Hand Shot looks neato!

Honestly yall, I have three blowdryers and my fancy schmancy Sharper Image ionic blowdryer isnt any more miraculous than my $20 Revlon or 10 year old one..
ok the Sharper Image one might be a little better, but not enough to stop me from going to target and buying the Revlon one instead of digging it out the garage.
Like, id dig my T3 Flat Iron out the garage before I used the one I had before that.. but not so with the blowdryers.
The one I actually use the most is the one ive had like 10 years, cant tell yall the brand cause it rubbed off lol.. I got it from the beauty supply so its probably like a hot tools or somethin. I think whats most important is that it have multiple heat settings and speeds, and an optional cool setting maybe.
My old one, has a cold shot button.. I get the best results when I start my hair on hot and high then use the cold to finish the actual drying, leaves my hurr soft and doesnt dry it out. I did pay like $50 for it, but its old as dirt.. maybe its good to invest for that reason

Floral Waxes?
In my quest to order more bulk oils and butters for my hair, I came across floral waxes on fromnaturewithlove.com. I have used them in the past for my face, but haven't used it in hair care products. Does anyone know if they would be beneficial for hair/scalp?

Man, I like this one. I never use the handle on mines and this look like you can have more control. But yeah, I'm not spending that much on a blow dryer. I don't do dry twistouts enough for all that.

Right now I have a Revlon Amber Waves, and I just realized it's an ionic when I went to look at the name. I have use this and a Golden Hot dryer and I could tell the difference. The Golden Hot dried my hair out and made it feel brittle. It scared me...I did like 2 DC's afterward. The Revlon dried my hair just fine and kept it soft. Now I don't know if a fancier dryer can do even better but I figure I'd give one a try.

Consistent Qhemet Biologics Users!!!
Have you noticed any increase in growth using these products on a regular basis? I am currently using MTG on my scalp, but know that Bee Mine has offered a Growth Spray with MSM for those allergic to sulfur, and CoilsKinksCurls reported good results on her YouTube from it. Since Qhemet products have MSM is anyone seeing any results, or is the amount to small to really do anything?
I'm just wondering, I have like 3 jars of Qhemet stuff (AOHC, BRBC, and OHHB) that I really like, but an added benefit would be cool. For winter, I'm applying the AOHC to my edges at night anyway to prevent dryness.

I can't get twists to stay to save my life! Flat twists sort of work, but I have to braid the ends to keep them from unraveling. How do I remedy this? Lol

do a twist and curl maybe? if you curl the twist with perm rods, that pretty much forces them to stay. Same for the ends of a flat twist.

is it possible for your hair to have different levels of porosity in different areas? When I DC'ed overnight, my conditioner melted away into the back of my head - at the very front, the conditioner was still sitting on top of the hair after at LEAST 8 hours! what gives?
any way I can balance out my whole head, or should i just use product according to the different sections? or am i crazy?

I noticed a LOT less shedding...which I attributed to the MSM (I also take MSM suppliments for a bum knee and now my mending wrist). I didn't think it helped too much with length retention (which is what I usually think of with growth) but I guess if you are shedding less then those hair have a chance to get longer so.....
Even if the growth results are minimal (which I don't think they are) def keep and use it for the moisture benefits.

I mostly do braidouts but when I twist I have to do it on dry hair and I need to use something a little thicker to twist with. Also I have to spritz the ends with JC Revitalizing spray and use a pomade at the ends.

I could have sworn the styling buttercream was shealess too but I went to the site to check and it does have shea.

How on Earth do I make non-frizzy braid outs/twist outs? Everytime I make them, the crown gets ultra frizzy, the top of the braid/twist gets frizzy, and when I take them down, my whole hair is frizzy.
I've done it both dry and wet. With and without products. What am I doing wrong?
