Id just like to say that I love my 4a/4b hair (some 3c) and wouldnt trade any of it! Right now i am wearing a headband with a puff, and i used some Hairveda whipped jelly this morning. After lightlyy spraying with some water mixed with oils! Im in my 3rd month of being natural and my hair is growing like crazy

right now i have my hair done in twists w/ extensions. part of me misses my seeing/touching my hair, but another part of me is enjoying all the laziness associated with having my hair twisted lol. i also want to henna my hair (and i've actually bought the henna), but that would mean taking my twists out *sigh*

I just ordered some cocoa butter. I can't wait to mix something up and have my hair smell like chocolate.

why is it I can never twist the middle to back of my head, it goes straight into a ponytail or bun.
I can twist the heck out of the front though. I am really lazy and not gonna lie. Sure wish I had the enegry to mini box braid it up.

I just cannot STOP touching and playing with my hair! I love the way Unrefined shea butter makes it feel!!!! . Ive acquired some great length over the past 3 months and my hair is very thick! When i want to wear a puff, its HARD to get my edges to lay down! Any suggesions on how to get the hair to lay flat? I do put gel on the edges and brush it back, but some parts always seems to stick out when they dry

I try not to make a habit of brushing my edges. I can get them pretty smooth if I put a little gel or moisturizer on them and then I put my scarf on to smooth it down more. Works for me. I don't do it and expect sleek hair though. It'll just be much neater than having an incredibly fuzzy hair line

So I have a twa now its about 3 inches long and I am currently rocking twist but omg i cannot get some of these to stop sticking up and out in crazy directions. I sleep in a satin bonnet but once wake up and shake the twist out (so they wont look so matted), some of them decide that they will stick straight up and out lol and suggestions?

Maybe wait to twist until you have a little more lenghth? or try using a heavy cream, that weighs your hair down.

Random thoughts...
Starting a new shampoo and conditioner this month again. Last time I tried it, my hair wouldn't hold a curl. Now that I'm trying something different (less oil) maybe it will do better. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Cant wait to get my Black Friday orders from Oyin HM and Qhemet! I ordered my Oyin stuff around 12:30, so it looks like it should have gone out with the first shipments. Hopefully it will be coming soon. Im running outta my precious Shine & Define serum.

funny story...somewhat...lol
So...I work at an elementary school. I walk past a class of kindergartners leaving art. They're all yelling hi and showing me their artwork. They said they had to make portraits of themselves having a "bad hair day." So all the kids are showing off then one little girl (who already has a perm at age 5) says "oooh Ms. Cooper, it looks like you're having a bad hair day too!!! smh...all I could do was laugh. My hair was in a chunky twist out, so it was pretty big and all over the place (just like i like it).
gotta love the kids... :shrug

Sometimes...
Sometimes I feel like my 4b natural hair is limited in styling options and I get bored or frustrated with it. Then, I see a girl with a thin, relaxed "light-switch" ponytail and I realize my three styles (twists, french braids and bantu knots) aren't all that bad.

ok so I offically sux at protective styles that require your hair to be put away... I installed a sew in and it only lasted a week my last set of braids lasted 3 wks its horrible. I am going to try the braid thing again since i can wash my hair easier in braids rather than in a sew in but till then my protective styles will be twist or my wigs

My puff is so moisturized, soft and coily! All I have in my hair is Yes Carrots Conditioner and some EVCO.
