Default Light (as in not heavy) Butters

I think shea butter is too heavy for my hair. What are some light butters that I can use to moisturize my hair?

you can try butter blends like avocado butter, hemp seed butter, jojoba butter, coffee butter These are very light and soft.

You can also whip your shea to make it lighter (add an oil), easier to use and absorb faster

Olive, sunflower, and almond are lighter butters. You do not have use a lot of these products.

+1. Whipping the butter with an oil makes it much lighter and easier to apply.

Aloe vera butter is VERY light, like coconut oil. Avocado butter is like creme for your hair, so I love that. While mango is lighter than shea, its still heavy IMO. Whipping butters do make them lighter especially when adding coconut oil to them.

Pura Body Naturals sells a Cupuacu Hair Butter that is a mixture of butters and oils. It is nice. Much lighter than shea butter.

Shescentit sells seyani hair butter, it's very light (whipped) and it's cheap...only $9. It also comes in different scents or unscented.

Default I like avocado butter

I've tried shea, hemp seed, mango, coffee, and avocado. Avocado butter works the best for me and I am very heavy handed with it. As a matter of fact, I have sensitive skin and can rub avocado butter on my face without breaking out.
