Is this normal?

For some reason, my hair is about 3 different lengths. The top is about chin length, the sides reach the top of my collar bone and the bottom is like collar bone/ arm pit length. I cut my own hair when I did the big chop so I may have cut it a bit unevenly, but I'm pretty sure I didn't do this much damage. :S So, is anyone else's hair like this? Or, is it just mine?

Yes, it's normal. My "bangs" are chin length and the sides and nape are collarbone/shoulder length.

Thank god! lol That's a relief. I almost thought I would have to get a major cut in order to fix this.

I second the answer that it's normal. Lol.
My hair does that too.

Shrinkage happens.
Yeah, that's perfectly normal. It just depends on where your hair is on your head. 4 inches from your forehead would go to abut your nose or lip in the front, and in the back it would cover the length of your neck.
Thanks, everyone. I'll keep this in mind. But I also have another question. Does it ever sort of even itself out? I straightened my hair last month and it was pretty weird having the top of my hair stop at my neck/chin and having the bottom a bit past my collar bone. I wonder why it was even when it was relaxed despite growing in like this.

If your hair continues to grow at the same rate, they would continue to be uneven. My hair is the same way, I just let it do what it wants, I've given up trying to tell Izzy what to do, lol!

Ah ok, I get it now. Guess I'll just let it grow out more and then cut it if it still looks off.

haha...this sounds like my head. i want to even out my hair...but i don't feel like cutting my hair yet again. =(
Mine does that too! I kinda like it though, gives me a nice layered look which frames my face (if straightened)...annoying when putting my hair in a puff though -.-
