tangle teezer...why does it work?

^^^ that's good to hear... i figured even if it's a no-go for me, the TT might buy me less grief from the kiddos.

It's really good for distributing conditioner. I love this thing. My combs (which are GREAT) are going to run away from home.

Nope- hair is still here.

Question though--how are you all cleaning it? It is pretty tricky to get the hair out of it, especially the black one. ( which is why I am sure I ordered the pink one)

Anyhoo,
I just add a little shampoo, and rinse under a strong stream of hot water. I let it airdry.

Ah, shampoo. That is probably what I am missing. I tried water, rattail comb, fingers, etc. Couldn't get the last hairs out. Thanks.

I'm probably one of the only people that isn't very impressed. I just used my TT last night on wet hair full of conditioner. I hadn't detangled in about a week so my hair was pretty tangled. It still took me forever to detangle, but I can say that I did see a lot less shed hair. For that reason alone I'll continue to use it. I felt like the TT was skipping right over the "major" tangles and I had to sit there and pick them apart.

^^^ if you pat the teezer on your palm, the hairs will move towards the top of the bristles and you just pick them out. OR you can use luvmylocs method. Either way, I get mine clean just with picking the hair out after hitting the teezer on my palm a few times(bristles down towards palm)

I'm loving the TT a great deal. I've actually temporarily retired my wide tooth comb and paddle brush. I only use the TT now, pending whether or not all my hair falls off later on LOL (NEA and LeeLee, we are like >this<). It is such a time saver!

Question, for my ladies that don't have Sally's (like all the NYC-ers) where can you get the Tangle Teezer on the ground? do regular beauty supply stores sell them too?

You can order it online though, as I combed the outer locales and it was sold out. You can only get it at Sally's.

How is this much different to a shampoo brush.

I use a shampoo brush similar to what she is using here:
