Did you use it alone or with a styler on top?

I was disappointed when I saw this contained coconut oil since my hair hates it. I thought Qhemet was one of those coco oil free lines since most other lines use it (I can't use any coco oil prods). Did those who like it feel it was at as high a standard as other Qhemet bestsellers?

I like it, it took a while for me to figure out how to use it. Still have not tried it as a DT.
Anyway as a leave in or daily moisturizer I have had a good amount of success. I doubt it will be a staple for me, nice to know that have put in a bottle because the jar really sucks!

Its funny, I was scared to try this since my hair is iffy with coconut oil as well. Iffy to where most times, it does not like it and is so-so otherwise. But its QB, so I had to try it anyway and we seem to have similar hair behaviors (ie, not fans of shea butter)
Sure enough, to my amazement, my hair loves it! I haven't tried it as a leave-in just yet. Just as a daily moisturizer and my hair LOVES it! When I wash my hair this weekend, I'll give it a try as a leave-in. But if it doesn't work out, then I know I can still use it as a daily moisturizer.
Not sure why it works on my hair, other than formulation, but it does for sure! So maybe it may work anyway? Guess my hair isn't so iffy on coconut oil after all and its been bad formulations all along??

LOL, I was thinking the same thing since my hair has not responded well to coconut oil in the past. But I ordered a sample since it's from QB and now I'm going to try it as a dc and also a leave-in this weekend. I really like the CTDG and AOHC and I also like that they don't use shea butter and aloe vera in their products.

You could however grow Moringa in a pot, move it indoors during winter till about the plant is about 2 years and has developed a good tuber root, then can be planted out, then even if the leaves are killed during winter, it would shoot new leaves as the weather gets warmer..
Moringa

I've been wanting to try this for a long time. How is the smell? I heard that it is a little medicinal. Also, what is the consistency. Is it thin and liquidy, or more like a light lotion? TIA!

It smells like monoi de tahiti (sp) which is a wonderful scent. It is a thin lotion. It is slightly oily because of the coconut oil high on the ingredients list. For me it works best as a hair milk.

The bottle I'm finishing up now was the original formula and it smelt overwhelmingly of lavender. I hated the smell and I tried to get rid of my bottle and/or completely ignore it for a long time. Now, I'm seeing that it works so well that I was silly to ignore it and now regret making my latest QB purchase without it.
Yes, it's a think lotion consistency. It comes with a pump (I think it still does) that I find completely useless (I take the lid off and pour it into my hand), unless you want to give your thumb a workout (the pump hole is tiny).
I have been using it as a mini-DC/detangler. I used to DC for hours (I still do, but have run out of product), but now, after shampooing I will pour a load of the MTCG on my hair, leave it covered while I wash myself and brush my teeth (say, 10 minutes?) then rinse most of it out (I HAVE to, because of the smell). I plop my hair and go back to my room where I find detangling is easy. It's quite slippy, so detangles pretty well.
I don't know how it works as a leave-in because I can't walk around smelling like a lavender field, so I haven't used it that way. I'm also not sure how well it'd detangle dry hair: if I want to get rid of a tangled section of dry hair, I'd use the CTDG. Yes, I detangle dry hair sometimes, I am to be booed and shunned. Uh huh.

^ why would you be boo'd and shunned, loads of folks dry detangle.
I used the CTDG soley on dry hair to detangle or for big fat fluffy twists under the Twisting butter

I like this product and also use it as a hair lotion. I LOVED the lavender scent. The new scent is much lighter but acceptable.

Lol! I guess I thought it was natural hair law that you detangle in the shower with lots of conditioner. Ah well! I was kidding about getting booed.
