Hello naturals.
I have EXTREMELY THICK 4a/4b hair and the longer it gets, the harder it is to manage. How do I enlongate my hair so that its not so tightly bound to my head? Im about 5 1/2 months natural, and i need a method that works for thichk hair.
Keep your stretched via twist outs, flat twist outs, twisted bantu knot outs, braid outs, cornrow outs, banding, etc. Re-set style after moisturizing so hair doesn't shrink back up. Don't let your hair shrink until wash day. On wash day, try washing in loosely twisted/braided/banded sections--You can secure the ends with Ouchless band if need be.

I have thick 4b hair and twist outs don't really work for me. They might work for you. I'm about to try this Shea Moisture, my friend said it was good, and its alot cheaper than Miss Jessie

ITA with Fronomenal. Keeping your hair in a stretched state will help elongate your hair. On wash day I let my hair airdry 75-80% in plaits then I will either twist or braid my hair for a twistout or braidout. Letting your hair partially dry in twists or braids will keep it from shrinking so much.
