Everything I wanted was not on the 50% off list so I passed on it. I wasn't feinin for anything from there. The whipped gelly and Vatika are the best products I think. I wanted to try to green tea but again, I just passed on the whole sale.

Oh and did yall see where it said something like sale items can take like 20 days to ship? That totally turned me off!!!

I ended up getting

2x Cocasta Oil
1x deep conditioner
1x Acia Berry Conditioner (I'm going to try it as a leave in)

I REALLY wanted the almond glaze. Lately my scalp has been on this kick where it itches if I don't "grease" it so I wanted to give that a try and see how it works. Oh well....

ETA: I saw that "note" about the sale shipping time....AFTER I had purchased. I've got PLENTY of other stuff to use while I wait so I'm not in a rush but dayum 20 days? That's a LONG time. Had I seen that before I might have passed on the sale altogether....

Well Ya'll know I had to try something too.

Whipped Creme Leave In, great for summer for me

StiriNillah Deep Conditioner, never tried it

Avo Soya Oil, never tried it

Cocasta Shikakai Oil, never tried it

I already know not to expect my stuff for at least a month, as the shipping is SUPER SLOW. By that time I should be ready to try new things

Any reviews for the deep conditoner? I've wanted to try it for a while...it's 50% so I figured I'd take the plung....I know Kcurly loves it but I haven't heard too many other folks talk about it.
See... that's what had been happening to me every time they would have their Spring (and end of Summer sale too) on their items... I'd think, "I'll just wake up in the morning of the first day of the sale and get what I need".... always missed out on the Almond Glaze. This time around I stayed up just so I can get it.

I've never tried to DC and I remember Kcurly, Maria, and a few others raving about it from way back. You're right that you don't hear much mention of it in general now, but yep, at 50% off, just had to try it at least once. I'll definitely report back.

I think that Green Tea butter was never available. Reason why: I debated making an order the day before the sale and no GT butter in stock. Then I was filling my basket right before the sale and getting to the checkout page, it showed the Green Tea butter out-of-stock. And again, when I refilled my basket to get the sale prices and placed my order no more than 10 min into the sale, GT butter oos.... could have been technical issues, like at first with the Cocasta oil, but I'll be curious to know if anyone was able to order it.

Ooh, I almost bought the DC, but I was too lazy to get out of bed and get my purse at 1AM. LOL!

Which Darcy's knocked it out? I'm curious b/c I have some (more) stuff coming from Sage next week. *smh*

That also turned me off...aside from being lazy. I'm too impatient to wait.

Darcys Botanicals Deep Conditioning Mask, that stuff is love at first touch. Hairvedas was good too but it worked better with my steamer, DB's works the bomb alone or with steam.

I've tried it and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. Idk what it is about the Hairveda conditioners but they are just not moisturizing enough for me. They remind me of the Vo5 conditioners, which are alright but they are not really that moisturizing and I go through them pretty quickly. They do have really good slip though.

I got the vatika frosting since I love the one I have now.
cocasta oil ( for some reason I always want to say cosco oil lol)
the deep conditioner the strilnah?? idk the name sorry
the whipped cream
the whipped gelly

im excited, I drove those poor people crazy today with all my emails and they were still so nice and quick with a reply. the past few times ive tried ordering everytime i go to check out its out of stock! So i emailed right before midnight like i cant order!! lol they replied and said it was ok this morning but at midnight i had retried and it was all in stock again. I love the prices! I had put the curl junkie rehab in the cart so many times at curlmarts site but kept cancelling because I just cant spend all that including shipping for that one thing. so the sale I was able to get all that stuff for a good price combined! Im excited to see how they all work!

I did not need to read this... as soon as I read the ingredients, I just went ahead and placed an order last night with SN.

This will fill in my gap for my long wait for Hairveda to ship, but I already knew HV sales comes with a long wait. But now I fear I'll be in love with this mask before the StrilNillah arrives... oh well! lol

It's available here - Crafter's Choice

It's looks like it's sold out here though. It maybe why Hairveda doesn't have any right now.

Default Hit and Miss.

I own or have tried quite a bit of Hairveda.

Hair

Hairveda Sitrinillah - Didn't do anything for my hair (I'm 4b, dense, fine, porous, dryness prone). It wasn't bad and it wasn't good, I found it a little too greasy, no slip and wasn't a fan of the orange smell. I only got the little sample pot, seriously glad they offer those. I used it up anyway. Will not purchase the larger one.

Moist Condition 24/7 - Did nothing for me, like someone above said, Hairveda conditioners give me no moisture and could be likened to a wafer thin conditioner I'd have rejected as not for my hair type before I started using online communities. I absolutely detest the smell even more than the orange one, it's like fake strawberries and cream and so intense that I could not stand to smell of that. I used it once and just knew that it was a dumper (again no slip) so it's on the shelf, awaiting its end.

Methi Sativa Protein set - Hated step 2 but I think my hair is anti-aloe (stopped using Darcy's for the same reason). Step 2 smelled ok, not at all nice though but it didn't moisturise after the protein and it had no slip. It was a pretty massive bottle so I was very disappointed. Step 1 is the protein, it smells horrid (can't describe) but is pretty decent as a strengthener, I definitely noticed a difference in my hair with this. it spreads well but reminds me of pond/bog slime. I wouldn't repurchase because you can't split them but I like this step better than AOGPB. It seems a little stronger than GPB too.

Almond Glaze - A tricky one to use but is my favourite Hairveda scent hands down! It smells of cherries and almond. I've not been much of a greaser since being natural this time but with the UK weather being cool, windy and cold alternately, I decided to try it as a heavy sealant. Can't say what I feel either way but hope to use it more effectively at some point. it's one of those things where you're not sure where to put it in your routine really. I prefer oils to seal as it's less greasy and I don't do the edge slicking (hair too short). Needs getting used to.

Cocasta Shikakai oil - LOVE THIS. the smell is divine, same as AG but the main reason is that I had ridiculously dry hair for the past 6 months or so and could not get it moisturised despite trying moisture, protein and Roux PC. I decided to use it to revisit oil rinsing and my hair was the softest it's been in ages. I use it to seal as well. It absorbs into the hair, leaves it soft and is an all round keeper. Intend to repurchase.

Asha Omega oil - Not sure how to use this yet. It's meant to be a sub for the natural oils that tighter hair like mine can be deprived of. I only used it to seal and it did not touch cocasta. It seems like it could be good for the scalp, having used it on someone else with dry scalp but I don't need a scalp product as much as moisture aids. Will be trying on damp hair at the roots but think Cocasta is the hero product of her oils.

Skin

Madagascar Vanilla soap bar - Nothing that ordinary soap can't do and I prefer shower gels. The smell was nice but it wasn't useful.

Urban aroma oil spray - I love the smell which is like popcorn, it's pretty good as a perfume oil moisturiser. No complaints and have bought it twice. It's definitely not a necessity.

Noinah Butter - Says you can use it on hair and if it wasn't for the smell, it'd be a good thick buttery sealant as it left my hair soft. I bought it for skin but it's not essential either. The smell is like an overpowering artificial apple scent and it's a little difficult to spread for a skin product. It was mainly the smell that put me off using this so it is now a temporary lip salve.

Pur Shea Butter - A wrong purchase, I meant to buy the urban aroma buttercreme. This is standard shea butter which is fine on my skin. It's unscented and I'm not a fan of the shea nutty smell.

I don't believe I will try anything else in this range for hair - certainly no cons. I think the Cocasta is the only long term keeper.

I didn't like Darcys Deep Conditioning Mask - found it greasy, sat on my hair, offered no slip and smelled icky. I used it once and then gave up. I notice some people love certain things with the aid of their steamer. I have a stand up steamer but haven't found it wonderful for my hair. I always end up with very puffy, odd feeling hair that dries brittle and crispy. Could be the conditioner I used (MHC Olive You Deep).

Hope I didn't derail the thread.

It's 3/20 and the sale should still be on, but her store is closed. I wanted some Almond Glaze. They disabled ordering.
