What he SHOULD have told you is you need to use some self control, be a grownup, and make the choice to bow out of discussions that upset you/cause migraines. That's the best "non-legal" advice you can get. Take it.

Nea - this has nothing to do with you either.
Saila,
How do you mix your ACV? Half and half(water to acv), 1/4 to 3/4 etc?

Awesome:

I'll make the move to ACV when I run out of shampoo.

Hey, it works for me but I would advise you to first use more controlled recipes to see how your hair reacts. A common one is to dilute one tablespoon in one cup.
When I did ACV mixes I would mix it 50/50 with water in a solo cup, then take it with me to the shower.

So if you stretch your curls, or wear a twist/braidout are you also hating your hair? Why does anyone care what anyone is doing to help make their hair easier to care for. It's not your head!

I can't believe what I'm seeing in this thread.. sad and unbelieveable.

Of course they can post in this thread - and unless I am banned by the moderators - so can I.

So Elle, I will not be taking your advice. I will continue to be a member of this forum.

Well I was referring to what I told you the other day. And NEA didn't say that you should leave either though - she said not everyone needs to be here. If you are getting migraines, I think that should be taken into consideration. But no matter - good luck to ya.

The introduction goes on to say we all have "good beautiful hair", but "let's keep it real". ACV is the way to make it happen.

The video implies that it's hard to believe that those of us in the type 4 category can really be happy about it...we need to "keep it real", and stop faking the funk. That ain't right...and it's offensive. Plus, ACV ain't that powerful.

So, yeah..it (and the mentality behind it) got clowned. It wasn't about trying to make women feel bad about wanting more manageable hair. I'm surprised you would come to that conclusion, based on having a basic knowledge of how most of the regulars here feel about hair, and personal choices.

Finally, I have to go back to my original thought: People MUST stop trying to make this their personal forum. It's not.

BEFORE you post a message that is intended to embarrass, humiliate or harass another person or group of people, stop and THINK first!

The non profit organisation deals with a number of things. In addition to counselling we offer free legal advice nearly every day to street youth, I work along-side their legal aid lawyers to ensure that they win their cases.

Prior to that I worked in a law firm and had a very high success rate. I can't take the glory though - It's all God.

The mindset behind the video annoyed me. I said it, and that's my right to say that. My feelings aren't any more/less important than another person's feelings. Feelings...we all have them.

Thanks Elle and Saila! I'm going to try the diluted mix in a spray bottle every other day for a week and see how my hair responds. Sealing with ice cold water definitely makes a difference for my hair but my body does not appreciate it
