I've only been looking at the mango butter recently, forgot the cream had different fragrances. Kewl.

I wont be using the conditioners anytime soon I put mini twists in last night.

I might use the curl creme tomorrow night though.

I received my package Monday. Everything was full to the brim. I have the 8oz size conditioners, so not sure if that makes a difference. The cupuacu cream looked as if there was a danger to spillage as there was cream around the rim of the jar under the lid, but nothing was spilled down to the label or in the box itself. So contents were overall fine.

I ordered everything in the Pearberry scent and I love it. I haven't had anything in a pear scent since VS's infamous body collections from back in the day. And yeah, this pear scent kind of smells like that.

Washed hair yesterday and used the Coconut Cream Conditioner for a rinse out. It has nice slip. Its thin so I didn't think it was doing anything to my hair, but I had no problems using my shower comb to detangle. Texture reminds me of a thinner Elucence MBC. I think someone else said KCKT, but mine wasn't quite like that to me. It was a good rinse out and it probably would work as a leave-in for anyone who likes lighter leave-ins.

I used the Hydrating Hemp as a leave-in. LOVES IT! It goes on so smooth and absorbs so nicely. Its a little thicker than the CCC, but really creamy. No grit, no funny texture and my hair was drying soft and my hair coiled nicely.

I need a larger size of the Cupuacu Curl Cream. Its that light cream texture that works for multiple styles. I used this for a true WNG (the first I had done in months) over the Hydrating Hemp and my hair is still soft this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't use anything to set the WNG, so this morning my shrinkage was at maximum levels and the front of my hair was drooping from being smashed from sleep. Despite not using a sealer over the CCC - not even oil - as I was in a rush, my hair was still very soft to the touch.

So this morning due to the failed WNG (on my part), I twisted my mostly dry hair as it still wasn't quite dry. I wanted to see how PBN's Sapote Hair Lotion pairs with the Cupuacu Curl Cream and talk about nice curl clumpage! I did use the Hydrating Hemp Condtioner + CCC on a few twists just to compare.

I used the Mango Butter to seal the twists. Texture is truly like butter you would use to cook with, think Crisco, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter", any whipped butter. Its not overly greasy when it melts like other butters I have tried. Just a nice butter texture.

I'll have to report back on how long my twists stay moisturized. That's a big test for me.

i received my package about half an hour ago (yay!)

order recap:
hydrating hemp conditioner - island getaway
coconut cream conditioner - island getaway
babassu body cream - strawberry
grapeseed lotion - mango

all of my bottles were reasonably filled, there seemed to be little volume settling. no spills, no rips, mint condition. the hand written thank you card and business card are cute.

scents:

island getaway- the island getaway is purely coconut scented to me, but more like a fresh coconut rather than cheap perfumey coconut smell. for some reason, the coconut cream conditioner smells less coconutty than the hemp with more of a hint of bubblegum or candy.

strawberry- eh, not feelin' it. smells like strawberry soap i've purchased before on etsy, probably the same fragrance oil. doesn't smell like real strawberries, but rather those strawberry candies in the strawberry-looking wrapper and the creamy center.

mango - yummy! my favourite of the three scents. very sweet and candy-like with a tiiiny hint of mango.

consistencies:

coconut cream conditioner - it's not runny at all to me, mine has an identical consistency to kiny-curly knot today, as well as the translucent appearance.

hydrating hemp conditioner - thicker than the coconut cream. white and lotiony.

babassu body cream - a whipped, smooth cream. very fluffy and light.

grapeseed lotion - well.. like a lotion!

intial feel/application:

conditioners were applied on damp hair and skin care products on dry skin.

conditioners- both were pleasantly slippery (most likely due to BTMS) the coconut was lighter than hemp, so probably more suitable as a leave-in, especially for finer curlies. both left hair very soft and moisturized.

skin care - body cream and lotion were light, absorbed easily, and made my skin very soft without turning it into an oil slick. so far, moisture has lasted an hour (i have very dry skin, sometimes with patches)

conclusion thus far:

happy so far! i will do a more in-depth review once using the conditioners properly (tonight, actually!) and lotion/creme after showering.

so far so good y'all!

Thanks ladies! Pearberry is still my fav scent at Bath& Body Works! I stock up whenever I see it online since it's a "classic" scent that gets discontinued then reappears. If it smells like that, I'm sold! I wanted the hemp and mango butter. But you ladies are making me want it all, lollll.

Would you say that the hemp conditioner and cupuacu butter is more/or as moisturizing as the purabodynaturals sapote lotion and cupuacu butter. Although I love this combo, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative.

Im sold. I not only received a replacement of my coconut cream conditioner in a timely might , she upgraded me to a 8oz size plus free shipping on my next order. What really was nice , was the handwritten note she enclosed.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The coconut condish reminds of me of suave coconut conditioner... the mango butter gave me good shine.

For the price, I think it is good enough. I probably wouldn't repurchase though.

Ok so I used the Coconut Cream Conditioner and the Cupuacu Curl Cream

The Coconut cream conditioner is lightweight , I think a lot of fine to medium hair naturals would like it a lot. For myself I have medium strands but my hair is very dense so it didnt coat my hair but it absorbed well. After rinsing my hair didnt feel extra moisturized but it was soft. I did note that my hair was frizzy , more so than usual after conditioning.

The consistency of the product moves very well in the bottle but its almost like the Oyin Hair Dew. I took a picture of the two, the coconut cream is on the left and the dew is on the right. Its slightly looser but the feel was the same to me

The Cupuacu Curl Cream, I used as a leave in , it went on the hair smooth and my hair was some what defined. Its like a hybrid of a butter and a cream mixed together , i can see the whipped air pockets but it melts like cool whip. It played well with the rest of what I used tonight and my hair is drying soft and fluffy.

All in all , I dont think these will be a repurchase. The lightness of the products will do well in the summer/spring but not too sure about the winter unless you have a heavy product on top. The price points are nice but my staple conditioners I can get on ground and are more bang for my buck.

Funny, this is exactly why I didn't want the coconut and want the hemp instead. Something different. Really want to try the mango butter, but part of me is like "You have enough crap!" Her being outta stock is giving me time to think, lol.

I agree the Cupuacu Curl Cream is like a butter/cream hybrid...I used it to do twists and I am very impressed with how smooth it went on. A very small amount was needed for each twist. I ended up with soft and fluffy definition which I can never achieve until the 2nd or 3rd day...never the first day. This will definitely be a repurchase for me!

Question

Anyone know if you're still able to choose your fragrance when you order the set? Maybe make a note of it in the order messages? Thx.

Looks like she got rid of the 4oz sizes of the conditioners and added an 8 oz Cupuacu Curl Cream.

Sorry for the late reply, not going to be on much going forward... I used the hemp conditioner+cupuacu cream+mango butter which did give nice moisture and softness, but poor hold. I was experiencing frizz in a couple of days. The PBN sapote + PBN cupuacu butter gave nice hold and shine and 2 day moisture before needing more on the 3rd day.

For me, I'd say about equal although my results (re frizz) are a little different.
