So what's YOUR BAD hair habit?
In all honesty, I try to do all things right by my hair but I fall short on habits I'm fighting to get rid of...I not too long ago got over being rough when it comes to detangling & handling my hair, I'm much more patient and in order for me to maintain this alone I have to STAY thinking about it while I'm in the process. There are (2) main habits that I'm trying to kick though ...
1- Snapping/Popping fairy knots...this habit is soooo bad that I'm not even aware half the time that I AM DOING IT. I'm seeking & destroying while at work, on the train etc... it's terrible
2-Peeling/Picking dry scalp scabs...I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I truelly don't know how this happens. I'm currently in a 2 strand twist protective style for a week now. I spritz my hair daily also moisturize my hair and scalp every other day. Just yesterday I noticed 2 dry scalp scabs, don't get me wrong...their not as intense as the scalp scab burns when one gets a perm but...u know what I mean. How is this happening and how do I stop it?...
So what's your BAD hair habit, if you have one?

1. Touching my hair excessively.
2. Styling my hair more than once in a day for NO reason besides playing around and experimenting.
3. Rough handling when I detangle b/c I'm in a hurry.

My hair feels really good to me (most of the time), so I'm always "feelin" it. I don't know...I just love the way it feels.

Scratching the crown of my scalp with my nails. It's just ASKING for breakage! My scalp gets SO dry there that I really can't help it sometimes. :/

I used to pop off my fairy knots but last summer I had to cut almost four inches off to even it out so that ended that one.
Mine is I often forget to wrap my hair at night and I am not gentle with detangling period.

Well instead of fairy knots, I looks for strands that have split and then pull it to get rid of the split strand look. I do this when I'm bored and when I'm studying.

Constant touching/twirling.
Twirling my hair is my big nervous habit. Given the past few days, there's been a lot of twirling going on.
I still sleep on a jersey pillowcase.

Popping fairy knots and not sealing my ends daily. I don't pop the knots often, so that's not too bad, but I've been slacking when it comes to sealing my ends. I do it when I think about it which is like twice a week.

Mostly constantly touching my hair. I was in class today and I constantly had my hands in my hair stretching out the curls and twirling them around my fingers. A weaved woman was sitting behind me and told me she couldn't believe how long my hair is. I know its probably annoying that I constantly play with my hair.

I peel or pick off my psoraisis too and it only makes it worse, but now that's it warmer and I'll be washing daily I won't have an many issues with itching.
I snip my hair near daily bc I'm obsessed with search and destroy missions. If you ain't curling right, you're gone.

Way way way back in the day as a child I used to pull my hair out. There are photos of me as a toddler with half the right side of my head (I'm right-handed) where hair is missing.
As an adult I've made strides somewhat -- I don't pull out my hair but I play (twirl, stretch) an excessive amount to the point where my scalp aches and I need to take an Excedrin for the soreness. Sad ain't it?
I think I do this when I'm bored, confused and stressed -- doing it more and more these days.
