Jessicurl Confident Curls Styling Solution!!

Ok y'all,

I am loving this ish. I picked it up at the hair show and have used it everyday. I used over leave-in and over gel. It just glides on my hair and makes clumpy curls. This is the first liquid product I could use over leave-in only. Had to share, it really surprised me.

Yup i loved it too and its even better when you use the rockin ringlets over it

MY HAIR WAS hot bidness that day. I had the samples, trying to suck up that shipping charge though is what stopped me from buying again

Dang, I went to my stash this morning and was eye balling it. I decided on a bun and out it back down.

How does it feel? Is it like CJ CIAB?

I probably wont get to try it until next week. Gots a busy schedule this week, can't fuss with hair.

It's like CIAB but slightly creamy. CIAB used to just run through my hair but it added nice finish. This is a little heaver but still glides through. The consistency is more like a thin creamy solution.

I'm not the biggest fan of this stuff but I need to revisit it...I thought it was a little drying b/c of the mag sul and I needed to use gel over it, which for me is too many products if I do leave-in + styler + styler + finisher. I like to keep it at three or less.

The mag sulfate is probably why i like it (it's in AG Recoil but it is much more drying than this stuff). I use it over CJ Smoothing Lotion and my hair is super soft. Ah so you used it as your finisher...I think last time I did this it didn't absorb well on my hair...let me go try it again...

ETA: Used this as my finisher today and white droplets show up on my hair...it's not like it's reacting with other products, it just doesn't absorb.

I love the stuff! I do use a moisturizing LI underneath, but I have used it alone. If I use it alone, the humidity and dew points must be high to keep my hair from being dry.

ETA: Never mind - they seem to be out of business. When I discovered my own link didn't work, I did a search, and though I come up with lots of references to them, they just don't seem to be there any more

Title caught my eye - as you can see I'm not 4A. Just thought I'd throw out that www.afrokinks.com carries Jessicurl. Haven't ordered from them in a while, but they used to have free shipping over certain amount offers, so you might want to check them out.

They also carry Kinky Curly, Komaza, Jane Carter and many other lines. Found them when the Komaza site referred me there when they were out of something I was looking for.

I've never tried anything from Jessicurl but hear about this one the most, I've been wanting to try it but it sounds hit or miss

I tried my confident coils under someone elses FSG. My hair is tight to my head, which isnt bad just usually I have more stretch with other products.

Someone actually asked me if i coiled my head, which I looked at them like they were crazy o_O, but i said no , its just tight to my scalp today lol

I have been wanting to try this stuff for a while but it seems like is may be to thin and not enough hold. I could pair it with a thicker gel for a heavier hold. I don't have a lot of hair but thicker gels work better on my hair. How is it moisture wise?

it is thin and watery. If you paired it with a thicker gel your curl definition and staying power would be amazing

the hold is medium, even with this watery FSG i used on top of it. It did leave a little pink residue but I plopped for a few minutes and it went away.

Shrinkage is insane by itself though. Usually i use it with the rockin ringlets but my sample is almost gone and JC went up in price, so once its gone , its gone

My hair isnt fully dry but my hair doesnt feel dry. I didnt use a leave in either.

I've been thinking about trying this. Since my cut, I'm loving shrinkage inducing lighter gels and jellies that I would have NEVER used when my hair was longer. When I come up off this no buy, I might have to add them to the "try" list.
