That's all I was pointing out, because you were speaking in general terms rather than indicate that it was based on what you saw only. No worries, no need for apologies.
Oh, okay, I understand now.

See? This is why posting on messageboards isn't the same as talking to someone in person, because things can be interpreted differently from what it was meant to be. I shouldn't have "generalized". I should have said "some" rather than "everyone", but in all honesty it was EVERYONE who used oils or moisturizers in their hair that had this look.

No problem. Everything's cool.

Yep, diction on message boards can be misinterpreted very easily...I'm a huge fan of hyperbole and superlative words myself, and my friends IRL know that (I am always saying things like always, never, everyone, everything, billion, etc), but on here I have to watch it b/c I would be getting some mega e-side eyes, lol...

LOL!! Isn't that ashame?

It's amazing how things are taken "literally" on messageboards (not just this one) and you find yourself having to explain yourself like you're being interrogated in a police briefing room.

This is why I don't post much "opinions" or "thoughts", but rather straight up "experience" or "personal knowledge" of something.

It saves a whole lotta time and unnecessary explanations. lol

I mean yes...lol...and no. Even if you are not trying to be rude or combative, there are definitely some folks that enjoy their daily dose of e-thuggin, so I can see why it's good to just clarify from the beginning. I work in PR so my boss is huge on written tone and things like that. Matter of fact often = attitude unless the parties are familiar. Some staff even said that my boss sounds short in her emails because she is usually in a hurry typing to us and doesn't use capitalization and/or punctuation...lol. It takes awhile for people to understand that she's just in a hurry!
