Need Veteran Help with questions

I've noticed a few new issues with my hair but clueless about whats going on, any advice is appreciated.

(routine: shampoo once a week (no sulfate no silicon), condition, deep condition, finger detangle, moisture, seal, style... very simple, co wash once a week, deep condition, moisure, seal, style) Styles are mostly protective styles as I don't wear my hair out at work (racist supervisor).

Now I've noticed:

1. As my hair grows the texture tends to change, curls don't seem like 4a anymore in most areas, like 3c but my roots feel like 4a/4b... gravity maybe??? Thoughts....

2. Crown grows slowly (this is the thickest part of my hair) although I protect it the most. Should I focus more butters or oils there while its in a bun.

3. Same products that worked when I was chin length don't work now that I am APL and gracing BSL.

4. Hair retention/growth is different on each side of my hair... is that normal? I think I read it is, but wanted your thoughts.

5. I straightened my hair, just for 2 weeks, how often do you add an oil to the roots, should I concentrate on the ends? I haven't had straight hair longer than a few days out of the year last year, now I forgot how to care for it, lol.

6. Diet: Single mom and very busy. I only get toast for breakfast if anything at all, lunch is normally hot chocolate (hate coffee) and sushi or salad, dinner I only have what my toddler leaves behind... baked yams, maybe some fish, some crackers, just the left overs, I don't give him fast food. I know there is a lack of veggies here (my toddler eats them all) so other than veggie supplements and biotin, what do you ladies take to give you energy, clear skin, white eyes, and helps with hair. Like I already know the body takes what it needs first and whatever is left goes to the hair and nails.

7. Rough front hair. I am seriously thinking it's the Eco Styler, although there is no alcohol or anything I can tell that's drying. It's just for some odd reason if I bun (which I love) and it's not tight, but I use the eco styler to give me waves in the front then my front hair will be dry or rough for days and days after I have rinsed it out. Maybe it's that I need more protein in the front, or more moisture... don't know.

Other than that, my ends aren't breaking, noticed some shedding a few days ago but after hitting it with some protein it stopped. No split ends. Still doing my butter seal on my ends so I don't really have fairy knots either, so my ends are in tacts and ready to retain length.

Thanks ladies. I know only you ladies here have the answers I need.

Take care.

I only put oil on my roots if it starts to get itchy.

Very normal.

Normal

I don't apply oil to my roots when I'm wearing my hair straight. I only apply it to the ends since those tend to be the driest. If I add oil to my scalp, it tends to make my hair dirtier faster and the press won't last as long.

Unfortunately, you can't supplement a good diet. I'd work on improving your diet before you start taking vitamins because most of your problems may clear up as soon as your diet imporves.

Probably protein overload. I'd but the eco styler aside for a bit and only pull it out when you need the extra boost.

Hope this helps!
