Default Broken Hair :0(

Hi Ladies,

I'm really toying with the idea of cutting off my hair and starting over. I think my hair is broken in the front and I have some heat damage in the front from getting my hair straightened once at a Dominican salon. Every time I put my hair in a pony tail the front is so frizzy. I have to use gel to keep the little hairs down. I'm thinking that's breakage from probably brushing my hair. Then when I wear a wash and go, a good chunk of my hair won't even curl from the heat damage.

When you guys put your hair in ponytails do you use a brush? I'm not sure what to do because right now I'm studying for an exam and I don't necessarily have time to twist my hair for a twist out and I don't want my hair to look all busted in the ponytail. I just don't want my hair to suffer in the meantime.

I understand what you are going through!

I have abused the front of my hair so many times. First with braid extensions, second with tight cornrows, third slicking it back with a brush and now tying my headscarf too tightly.

Thankfully the front of my hair always grows back when I treat it delicately. I am currently wearing flat twists at the front to help to nurse the front sections back to health
